- Toonces1. If this is a legit company, why would they hire an outside overseas firm to do verification of employment
2. I do not agree with firms outsourcing to places like India or the Phillipines to do verification of employment calls
3. Even this is a legit company, I will refuse to speak with an outsourced company whose accents are so heavy, I cannot understand them
4. I do not trust any call that comes through with a heavily accented person and in particular if they are from India or Pakistan, the heart of where all scam calls originate.
"nuff said.....buh bye annoying possible scam, maybe legit caller- Caller: Who Knows

- JoeGot 4 messages asking about employment verification of someone I've never heard of. The 4 messages all sounded like the same recording. I smell scam! They're probably fishing for information.

- C| 1 replyCalling to verify employment for someone that has never worked here. Suspect a scam of some sort, especially after reading all of the comments, but not sure what the end game would be. Offered to provide a SS # for me to check my records. I declined. We are a small company, I know everyone that has worked here in the 6+ years I've been here.

- BigA replies to CThey claim to have offices all around the world, yet they do not list a physical address for any of them on their website. The only way to contact them is by web form. They have also used a privacy service to conceal who they are and where they are located when they registered their website with Whois. The fact that these people have someone's SS# is a bit scary, especially since people are reporting that these callers are from overseas places like India and the Philippines, both noted countries that encourage scam call centers.
- melcalled my cell to verify employment on -- "Smith". No one would be using my cell to verify employment as I work in HR and they would call my business number. Decided to block number.

- Deep StateHere's the thing with Hire Right. They are disorganized and incompetent plus their callers lack critical thinking skills and are pretty much puppets. They called our company approx. 5+ times asking for the same information over and over again. I suggested quite a few times that maybe they should keep the information in their records since our information doesn't change. But nope. They call again and again asking for the same thing. They have become a nuisance and it's bothersome that people use these fools to verify themselves so they can get jobs. Don't use Hire Right. Use a smarter employee verification company. They are valid, but stupid.

- CB222Someone named "Princess" called and asked to verify employment for someone currently working with our company. I asked for her information and said I needed to verify info before I could answer any of her questions.

- SallyBerryMy Spidey senses are tingling. This number was given as a call back number, along with a 7-digit extension, from a caller with a heavy accent who wanted to verify employment. The caller id read: 866 521 6995.
- Caller: Supposedly "Hire Right"

- HR AdminI'm not so sure if they actually are legitimate. The person I spoke to, "Sean," does have a slight accent but wasn't difficult to understand. I initially felt it was legitimate until he first did not know the complete last name of who he was attempting to verify. He also could not tell me the position of our employee he was verifying. The key word is "verify!" We "verify" and confirm information they were provided by our former employees. We do not "provide" information to them. When I asked for him to tell me what position she provided to him (for me to "verify"), he apologized and stated he could not find her in the system and his computer was slow. He also stated he would get back to me. Nothing yet. Hopefully they are a legitimate company. However, I do have concerns.

- KrisReceived a call today from 800-993-8062 x 8582 (I think). Very thick accent and extremely hard to understand.
They wanted to verify employment of a former employee. When I call this number back I am asked a series of questions: Press 1 if you are over 50; Press 1 if you own a vehicle and on and on. I hung up and will not try again. If this is Hire Right and they are truly trying to verify employment why was their system asking me questions unrelated to the employment verification. I answer all employment verifications for our company and I have never had an experience such as this.- Caller: Hire Right

- Blake 7Utter complete idiots (the executives - not the employees - they haven't any choice). They called 27 times - TWENTY - SEVEN - in a space of 2 days leaving messages with everyone except me (the proper person to call). Literally not one person who works there is anywhere outside of the Philippines. Any corporation/organization that hires "HireRIght" are insane. Absolute incompetence, inability to speak to anyone - how the living hell do they expect employers to verify employment.
How the hell do these people stay in business?- Caller: Employment verification
