got a call from 801-623-4629, and all i heard was them talking to each other - wouldn't even bother to talk to me - i'm PISSED OFF!!!  i want to forever be removed from such a RUDE caller!

Call 7:05pm, on Tuesday, 6/12/07. Said this was Research America (etc.) It was a 15 minute political survey.  Polite surveyer, but questions were biased. He asked to verify my telephone number and my first name [I'd also received a similar survey call a week earlier asking me to do the same.)  I think this is too personal. Learned from here that this number belongs to "Western Wats," the same people who called the week before. (Now they're using a different name.)  Human research ethics require that surveyed subjects can have the aggregate results, but in the previous call from Western Wats, they acknowledged their company's policy did not conform with human subject research ethics.  My advice: don't participate with these surveys.

Take my name and telephone number off of your list.  I do not want to be contracted.

Telemarketer- I'm suppse to be on a DO NOT CALL list!

This is not a telemarketer. For all you folks saying, "I'm on the do not call list" you have to realize there are limitations to that list! Survey takers may still call! Tele-marketers cannot. BIG difference. Here's the exact quote from donotcall.gov: "Because of limitations in the jurisdiction of the FTC and FCC, calls from or on behalf of political organizations, charities, and telephone surveyors would still be permitted."
All of you that say, "I'm reporting them, that will teach them" are wrong.

Simply do not pick up, or pick up and asked to be removed from their list.

not a telemarketer...telemarketers sell products over the telephone.  This company only conducts surveys.

They are not using a different name.  They are calling on behalf of a different company.

THey called you on the number that they're trying to verify.  It's only as a precaution to make sure the surveyors aren't falsifying the data.

If those questions are too personal, as to refuse them.  They are not required.

FYI- You cannot sue this company.  They have a legitimate business need to call you.

Also, please remember that most of these people calling are high school students and this is their first job. It's very frustrated for young kids to be yelled at on the phone.  Just politely ask to be placed on their do not call list, and they will oblige.  I did, and I no longer receive the calls.

Enough is enough, no more call take me off your list, have had 15 calls from this number very rude people, don't you get it when I say no and hang up, you have been reported, no more calling

answered once and caller immediately hung up.
remainder of calls were routed to answering device, but caller left no message.
