You must be working for them! Don't tell people to call them it will cost them a bundle to call, by calling a tele marketer and asking them to take you off the list, you are actually confirming there is a live number they can call to! Just go to http://www.donotcall.gov and report them if your number is on the Do Not Call list. If you are not on the list, put it on the list and report them every time they call. The 801 area code is in Utah, the state that has very little control over what type of business operates within their State.

Similar story to other posters!  Nathan from the Career Institute called about the "online inquiry" that I'd never made.  He had my correct name, my correct phone number (obviously), and an old street address that was previously associated with the same phone number.  I asked what e-mail was given in the online inquiry, and it was not mine, though it appears to belong to someone with my same name.

When I pressed Nathan for details, he transferred me to his manager, Kirk.  Kirk provided me with a street address in Logan, UT, and suggested that if I called 801-642-0241, I could obtain the IP address of whoever made the online inquiry.

This is the second organization calling in the last few days claiming I had made an online inquiry, so I'm wondering if it's really the same scamsters.

I received a phone call from "nathan" at 8:00 am est asking for my deceased mother. He stated that I filled out a form for online classes.

I have no idea how they got any information. I do have my home listed for sale and I am wondering if a shady realtor came to see it and stole personal information.

The reason Nathan wasn't able to repeat what you had told him from an earlier conversation is because it wasn't the same person that spoke to you the first time. Nathan is a prerecorded script controlled by representatives at the call center hired by One-On-One to make these calls. The script was designed to cover as many responses as possible, and the recording offers huge benefits to the clients as opposed to having the reps speak directly to people. The reason he was talking in circles is because the script has a certain amount of redundancy that the rep isn't always able to work around in order to make the call flow normally. The original rep became frustrated because the answers to your questions weren't easily accessible through the script, so he/she flagged your number to be tried again by a different rep who had no access to any previous info nor any way to recite it back to you.
