Just reported them to the DNC complaint web site listed above.

Purportedly posing as the "Credit Card Company" indicating they need additonal information to improve "security" of my credit card....... HA!

Keep getting calls from this number, just got a hold of a representative by pressing one and he asked how the "do not call" is working for me, then he hung up. Lovel.

Got a call, waited to speak to someone and of course when I asked a question they hung up. I will be reporting them to my phone company as well as the authorities.

Thanks for posting everyone. I, too, am on the DNC list but doesn't seem to matter. I did not answer since I did not recognize the number. Glad I saw these postings.

NOTHING  can be done.  Period.  It is a fake caller ID number.  They have called me 1000 times, each time with a different caller ID.  They use a middle man dialer that spits out new caller ID numbers so it cannot be traced.  I get them all the time and am sick of it.

I have some fun sometimes.  I give them all my fake info, fake card, make them think they are going to get something.  Then they ask for the 800# on the card and I give them some random porn number I found on google, funny to hear them call and think it is a bank.  OOPS.  I musta read it wrong, my bad....

Now I am going to buy an airhorn or rape whistle....when you press 1 to talk to someone, let em have it.  The reps KNOW they are scamming people.  When you ask nicely what company they are from, they say F U and hang up.

Have received multiple calls on two phone lines that are on the Do Not Call list -- I inform the representative each time of that fact, and that they are being reported to the FTC, when they won't respect a request to stop calling.  I agree with all posters who suggest filing a complaint with the FTC. Note that because the company is using a prerecorded message, it doesn't matter whether or not you are on the Do Not Call list -- you can report them for abusive telemarketing practices.  Please file a complaint!

Same as everyone else, keep getting the calls on my cell phone, call it back, press 1, and as soon as I complain, they hang up.  When I try to call back, the line is busy.

Still happening...Air Horn would have been a nice touch if they didn't hang up.

In this area , there appears to be no enforcement of the law ..These telemarketers are a relentless nuisance ..they should all be tracked down and sent to jail where they belong !

Same thing as all of you. Called two numbers to file... the DNC list and then they told me to call the Federal Trade Commision... 877-382-4357. Called and left a complaint. Their advice to me was don't pick up. The more you don't pick up the less that they call... supposedly. Let's see if that happens. I've gotten a dozen calls from this same scam from all different numbers.

Air horn is a GREAT idea... I'll have to keep one in my purse! :)

I'm impressed that you got names.  They usually hang up on me as soon as I say "I'm registered" then click. I finally filed a complaint today.

This automated call from "Rachel"/ credit card rate ,is probably something we will never get rid of. I have been getting this woman's "robo voice" for 3 years now under 10 different #s and area codes   (and I only started to count just within the last year!). I have reported it several times to authorities with no results. These people just move along with another number to use. As a matter of fact, just got one 30 minutes ago. I can only immediately hang up. I've done all the other procedures in the past.

They call at least once a week and have told them my number is on the don't call lis.  They claim they can reduce my credit card interest rate.

I hit 1 to the recorded message about "lowering my interest rate on my credit card", I asked that they stop spamming me, male on phone then played a recorded profane message & hung up. I reported this # to the national do not call registery also, as my cell # is registered there.

So then he would pay the $10,000 fine himself?
