Called five times in a row. When I picked up, no one was on the other end of the line. Suspicious

Called me yesterday afternoon and then again this morning.  After I answer, there is a delay.  After a couple of seconds, a male voice says: "I am sorry, wrong number..."

I've gotten numerous calls from this number.  They claimed to be an outfit to help with your website.  The fellow wanted to take control of my computer to give a demonstration.  Good luck with that was my response.  The fellow was very aggressive.  I politely said no thank you and hung up.

Wanted to talk to the owner about enhancements on the website.

When this call is received, I will now say "As part of an ongoing investigation from the States Attorney General I will need you to provide me your information" ...and they should have hung up well before then.

I think when we call the number back someone says hello we say sorry wrong number cause its not a business

I just got a call from this number. I politely said "Hello...Hello?" but no reply. I looked the number up online and ended up on this website. Thanks to everyone for writing their experiences. How I've been handling these calls is that I will answer the phone the first time an unfamiliar number comes up on my caller ID. I do this because I have a business at home, and I get calls from unfamiliar numbers quite a bit. If the person calling doesn't say anything, I always wonder why in the heck do they call if they aren't going to talk? After hanging up, I look up their number online and see if other people are experiencing the same weirdness. If the person calling has been reported as a scammer online, or if I actually speak to someone, and he or she is making an unsolicited call trying to sell something or scam me, after I get off the phone I program it with the word SCAMMER for their name. The next time they call and I see that word on the caller ID, I don't answer the phone. This saves me a lot of time and helps me to weed out the bad Scammer calls from the legitimate business calls.

I got a call from 803-392-1718. They are a telemarketer and keep calling my business. They want to do search engine optimization (SEO) and these people are worthless. They don't say anything and when I call back it rings one time and I notice that it goes to another distinctive ring. They must be forwarding this to another number. You're asked to leave your name and number. The number is from Graniteville, SC.

Received a call today.  I said "hello" twice.  The caller said "I have the wrong number" and hung up. Will program my phone to not answer from this number again.

Called me several times today. Didnt leave a message. I finally answered and they ask if my mother was home. lol. I am 52 yrs old and dont live with my mother.I laughed and they hung up.

Please stop these calls it's really annoying.
