This number has called several times. It rings twice and hangs up. If I cmswer on 1st ring it hangs up

I just received a call from this number'which I did not recognize or answer.....no message! Caller I D  shows SC

Hubby just got a call from this #.  He answered, and the call disconnected.  No message, no response to hello.

The number 803-605-0857 claims to be a student aid loan in the automated message.  It gives you the option to have your name taken off a list if you press 9.  If you call this number back a recorded message tells you that this number is disconnected.  Yes...another scam!

Got a call from this number today.  Did not answer because I did not recognize the number.  I let the recorder pick up on calls I do not recognize.  In response to Larry on March 30, I get call once in a while on my land line that shows up on caller ID with my name and my number.  Don't answer those either.

Just missed a call from this number and when I called it back I got the recording that this number has been changed, disconnected or no longer in service. That was fast. It was less than 2 minutes.

I rec'd it as a robocall from the Columbia, SC area code.

Came up on Caller ID = Cell Phone SC. Do not know this number so did not answer the call.

They have called me Atleast 4X today! It's a shame I can't send a bullet to the people on the other end! As usual they never speak !

I just received this call.  They started off by saying "Congratulations! You have been selected to recieve a free cruise if you complete the following survey."  Afterwards, they gave you the options to opt out of receiving more calls or to continue to the survey.  I continued to the survey where I answered 3 questions.  One about health care, another about legalizing medical marijuana, and I can't remember the other question.  After the survey was over they said someone should be calling me back within 25 minutes with more information on my 2 free boarding passes.  The call was about 10 minutes ago.  I will update you all when/if someone calls me to let you know how it plays out.

Ok, so I got the phone call and they offered me a free 2 days 2 nights trip to the Bahamas for me and a guest on their Grand Celebration Ship!  Everything sounded amazing up until they told me in order to secure the trip I would have to pay the government tax of $59/adult which came out to $118.  I said I didn't have the money today and asked if someone could call me back at a later date.  The call rep said this was a live sale so after they hang up with me they will call and offer someone else the free cruise.  So no cruise for me I guess.  That's as far as I got. Even if I had the money there is NO WAY I would have paid because I truly don't know if it is legit or not.  I guess only time will tell if someone goes further than I did.  Hopes this helps someone out!

I echo your words.  Perplexed as to why it is still valid as it is a Verizon number "no longer in service."

Called my cell phone.  Not cool.  I feel violated.  They didn't leave a message, so it wasn't important.  At least I didn't have to get up and run through the house to the room my home phone is in and find out I got up for nothing.

Got a call from this number offering a vacation, when they told me the price I asked if they accepted food stamps, Click
