This number called me about Student Loan Debt, it said press 1 to see if you qualify for loan forgiveness. I just hung up, can't mention the company you work for, then don't call me.

Missed the call; no message was left.

Mine was a robo-call about Student Loan Debt, it said press 1 to see if you qualify for loan forgiveness. I pressed 1 and no one answered.

Didn't leave a message.

Didn't answer. Left no VM.

The number is a spoof. Its disguising a call from a different number.

Why would anyone pay thousands of dollars for list of phone numbers, when scammers could use an auto-dialer that cost less than $200, and dial every number in existence?
You theory is full of holes.

On cellphone, I received a call from this number 20 minutes after getting a call from 216-487-7014 (Independence, OH). Let both calls go to voicemail. No message was left. I think they are phishing for active numbers to scam/harass.

Looking a the last 2 weeks of messages, one thing is clear -- this number is used by a variety of scammers and hoaxers... folks, block 804-491-2130 NO MATTER WHAT caller ID reads or a person says. They want your money and that is all. They are not your friends. btw, my call yesterday showed ID of "survey" -- not cancer or credit or anything else.

Don't pick up.

Just got a call from this number.  Did not pick up. They did not leave a message.  I blocked them.

Got a call. Wasn't sure if it was legit, so I answered. It was a prerecorded message about an "Important message" about my student loans. Don't know what came after that because I hung up.

ROBO CALL to my cell phone, credit card rate scammers.

Call for search engine optimization on Google, Bing and other search engines. Offered to insert child pornography and provactive sexual terms onto my web pages to increase traffic and drive my sales to new heights. The package offered seemed quite attractive because I have not been able to successfully reach the lucrative sexual predator customer base. I will take them up on their 30 day trial offer.

True, an assumption, but definitely how things seem to go. The "press # to be removed" message is simply a ruse designed to give the victim a false sense of accomplishment and security (also lowers incentive to report the phone number since the victim thinks they took care of the problem), when in reality the damage was done immediately after accepting the call.

New technique I answered but didn't say anything. After ten seconds the robot hung up and I blocked.
