Same thing happened to me, my number was stolen by someone with the email address: lostinthehorizon@hotmail.com.  Just signed up for the do not call list, but not sure what to do about getting off of everyone else's call list especially when someone else signed me up.  gah!

i have recieved several calls from this number over the last couple day and im tired of it and just like the rest of you i call back and just get an answering machine. But, when i listened to the message on the answering machine it say (Finway & Associates) so i googled it but i didn't get very far. all i know is that this is getting old fast and someone needs to do a mass block on this #

I think I've figured this out...

This is one of those Alumni Directory scams, and in this case, I believe it might be PCI (though they are supposedly based in Texas and the area code appears to be from Virginia).  The only reason I say this is that I spoke with these people about a year ago believing it to be legitimate, but in the end, when they were asking me for money up-front, I sensed that it was [***].  I also see people commenting here about the call being related to something about college and I just got an E-mail notice from these people about a looming deadling for the Alumni Directory.

My recommendation is to answer the call and tell them (forcefully) to take you off their call list or visit the PCI site (in case this is who it is) and E-mail them your demand to be removed.

Calls several times a day and won't leaves a message start early in morning until about 9:00pm

I received a call from this number on my cell too. When calling, got voicemail about something-something associates and a full mailbox.

Single call 7:21 ct, no response so I disconnected

They call me like 4 times a day and i nvr answer cuz i dont pick up uknown numbers

received call at 1:48 pm ct, July 1st.   dead silence at caller's end.

They called me a bit ago and didn't leave a message. I tried to call back but it just rang and rang. It gave the number above and then SSA underneath that. Social Security Administration?

I tried to call the number and text the number, it's a land line phone so how can we find out whose name is the phone in. I hate scammers, instead of trying to get over the easy way they need to go to work like I do everyday!!!

this number 804-665-1478 comes up on my caller ID but when I answer they hang up. I do not know anyone with this # and I would like it to stop or tell me what they want. If its money they are out of luck I just lost my job and cannot pay anyone right now!

Rec'd a call from this number on my cell. They hung up before I could answer. No voicemail was left. I do not know anyone in the 804 area code. I do a search on the computer and come to this site.

We've gotten five of these today on our home line.  Caller ID reports it as "SSA".

Beware.. scammers

Got my first call from these bums 10 minutes ago on my landline phone. I didn't answer it. You will never get a call from the Social Security Office at 7:30pm. My caller ID said SSA. Just don"t answer numbers that you don not recognize.

I received another call today, just block the number, it's the only thing you can do. Don't bother to call back, they won't answer.

these people call me 5 to 20 times a day..depending on the da..they hang up. the number actually appears on my caller ID. i get an itemized statement each month..

Just filed a complaint with the FCC about this phone number. "804-665-1478"
