Recorded message stating they were from Social Security.

A recorded message that stated it's from the social security office and that my social number has been restricted so I should call them.

States it is from social security.  Can hear someone or something dialing while listening to message in the background.  Blocked number.

2 calls today from this number. Prerecorded message stated that my social security number had been used for fraudulent  activities and I should call their number.

Ditto, same message.

Two numbers with 805 and 858 area codes. Same scam to get your SSC #. I'm on the do not call list and these scammers and telemarketing people still call 5+ times a day

Very rude caller! Could  not  understand him. Kept having to asked him to repeat what he was saying.  He started to get really rude, so I just  hung up on him. Then replied  it was a scam!

I got a voice message on my phone, about an hour and half ago, that sounded like a recorded voice telling me it was from the Social Security and to call the number, which I did not. I'm going to report this number to the SSA.

Recieved call/phone message from 805-244-6524 claiming my SS # was under investigation. Thought it was scam-did not reply.

This number appeared in a spam email received 5/06/2021 claiming to be from PayPal, advising me PayPal had authorized a $689.99 charge from my PayPal account for a subscription service to TechHub LLC. If I did not order the service, I was to call "PayPal" at this number to stop the charge. (I did not call them; had I done so, I'm sure they would have tried to get my account info to "verify" blocking the charge to my PayPal account...) The number was not an "800" number, from a company I had never had business with or even heard of, so I checked it out here, then forwarded it to PayPal for a phishing investigation, deleted the email, and changed my PayPal password. Be careful with this one! -- the email looked reasonably legit (no obvious misspellings or stilted English like we often get on email scams...)
