I had the same thing happen, my phone gave the "tone" sound for voicemail and when I checked the phone I had a voice mail.  Dialed it up and got dead silence, nothing!  Thanks for everyone's comments.  I can now delete it without worry.

i just gogled this phone # today and stumbled across this site. the person saying its a t-mobile # is right this # shows up as my voicemail # and im a t-mobile customer. i live in the burbs outside chicago and was worried about the fact that my cell and voicemail number were totally different. sounds like a router tower for tmobile customers voicemails and who else is listening to them.. big bro. hmmm?

I called my own number and when it went to voicemail I got got "Debra" not a computer and there were no options.  So did three of my contacts to whom I also gave this number.  This number is listed in my phone as the redirect for my voicemail.  I should note that Debra is very polite.  However, "Debra" has no interest in taking messages which is a problem for my contacts.

This is definetly the T-Mobile Voice Mail processing system.

It is possible that the calls you receive from this number are people checking their messages and using a call-back feature to directly dial the number from the automated system.

Has anyone simply tried calling the number back?

I have recieved a total of 14 calls on my cell phone from this number. My cell # is registered under the Do Not Call Registry.

I got a voicemail today. It's creepy that the recorded voice mail was a baby screaming and it sounded like my daughter and my sister trying to calm her down.

Caller leaves a voice-mail asking for a return call at 888-560-0054, with an extension.  If I try to block 805-637-7243, my call blocker says I'm blocking voice-mail.  This company, claiming to be a debt collector, is in violation of several federal and state laws and regulations for using the T-Mobile voice-mail line (obviously cloned) for their in-bound calls.

Today I received 3 calls  from 1-805-637-7243 at 00:00:30, 00:01:15, and 00:03:34.  Calls had been previously blocked as they always come just after midnight, so I only see them as missed calls. With earlier calls there was a foreign speaking woman or a foreign speaking man on the line.

got a call from that number saying it was fed ex trying to deliver a package to my home.

Highlight the phone number in your phone and look at the history. You'll see it is your voice mail afterall as this isn't the first time you have had connection with this number. everyone calm down.

I have to key in a password to access my t-mobiel voice mail, so who else has my password. It's 8 digits long!

the message says the are from an auto finance company. It's a telemarketing call, which doesn't allow you to call back. I can't find out how to get off this list. Help!!!!!

what do you mean back door voicemail number? Voicemail should never call you.

You can tell how I feel about these Neanderthals by adding ed to my first initial. I never called them, but it shows that I called them for 3min 23 seconds. T-Mobile is going to hear from me as well as Do Not Call Registry, the head of the FCC, and anybody else I can think of.

yah i got a message that sounded like running water but after like 3 min. a man and woman started to talk but i couldnt understand them. Also most of these complaints are from t-mobil users. does that have to do with anything???

This is T-Mobile's voicemail number.  I didn't get a call back but it was on my cell phone as an incoming call which I didn't hear and it wasn't recorded as a missed call either.  Either way, is the number for voicemail with T-Mobile.

This is a T mobile system number . its used for chcecking your voicemail from your phone ( when you are roaming ) also known as a "message center"  this is part of the system that dliveres message in real time recorings that are delivered to your handset . if you roaming it can take 15 minuts or more to recieve them .my best friend who works for at t told me how this works
