They'd been calling maybe a dozen times during the last few weeks, never leaving a message. Last night I picked up & they were calling for OxFam. Supervisor acknowledged they do calling for numerous nonprofits but are not nonprofit themselves.  If you ask, supposedly they will take your name off their master list, not just the organization that specific call was for. We'll see. Also said they don't do random dialing or looking up of phone numbers. Was insistent that they call only the numbers the nonprofits give them.

got a call just now from them.  I picked up and no response.

Got a call 7/16 20:05 PDT .. called back and yes it is telefund who make calls for charitable organizations.  They say to leave a message with phone number to be removed .. but (ha ha) the message box is full.

Just started getting the calls today...two within an hour and half.

You can complain directly to the FCC by filling out a simple form...

I've gotten two calls from them wherein they hung up the phone (and often they call late in the evening, EST).

Seems like out of the blue I start to receive several calls a day from this! It started about a week ago. And "they" don't leave a message either.

CallerID shows Santa Barba, CA.  Its real annoying.  They call at least twice a day, and one of the calls is always just before 9 P.M.  They never leave a message.  This started several weeks ago.  I never pick up the phone.

Just got off the list for ALL of Telefund nonprofit clients by calling the main number (617) 482-6882.  Spoke to a LIVE PERSON who very quickly and professionally just asked for my number not even my name.

Apparently they're happy to get numbers off the list ASAP. They use their nonprofits clients' call lists to get more money from existing donors. They don't make money talking to angry donors.

Also heard they are not technically telemarketers since they get numbers from people you've "done business with".

This number calls my phone at least 2 a day almost everyday I'd say.  One voice mail left is some kind of credit card you sign up for. It doesn't leave voice mails every time.

I receive as many as six calls a day from Telefund.  Sometimes they give me a break and don't call for a couple of weeks and then they try a new wave of calls where they'll call several times in one day.

I getting calls from this number to my cell phone everyday, sometimes twice. I never answer they don't leave a message.

I have been receiving calls from this number around 11:00 PM to 1:00 AM EST.  I have nevered awnsered, I reported to the donotcall database.

They call a minimum of twice daily.  It's another reason for me to not get a cellular telephone; why would I pay more money to have a gadget that I'll either ignore or throw at the nearest wall until broken?  Something I've had that hasn't been posted yet:  the calls I get on the answering machine (no message left, of course) have a lot of static (a lot of noise & crackling, like a poor radio transmission during lightning).  Any logic on calling long distance (CA to LA) repeadedly w/no message?

I just got a call from this number today on my cell phone but it was for my husband.  I told the person on the phone they had the wrong number...technically they did.  I didn't know it was illegal to telemarket cell phones.  Thanks for the post.

Got a call on my cell phone this afternoon from this number, and it was someone claiming to be from the Barrack Obama '08 campaign. I listened for a few minutes while I searched the phone number, and then just hung up on them. It's obviously a scam. I know for a fact that the Obama campaign doesn't ask for money via phone calls. It's definitely NOT Obama '08 calling...

If you get a call from this number, don't answer it.
