They called, I answered but did not speak.  After about 15 seconds, they asked for me.  Again, I did not respond.  They then hung up.  I figure if they are inconveniencing me, I will do the same in return.

1st time call from this number. I never answer numbers I don't know. This thread on this number has been going since 2007. Why is this number still active?

Telefund - they have been calling me for years.  This is their 805 area code number.  They also call from numerous other numbers.  They call several times each week.

Got the call. They asked for me by name. Without saying yes it was me I instead asked who it was that was calling. They hung up. I called back and got a message saying the number was disconnected.

This is not a scam, it's a charity that you have affiliated yourself with. In my case it was for rights for the LGBT community and the recent discriminations and ban by Trump to joining our armed forces. People who are willing to put their lives on the line to protect our country and this idiot is denying their efforts!  This is a call everyone definitely needs to answer!

This number is associated with numerous 'types" of calls, ranging from Political donations to outright scammers asking for donations. This number has been getting reports for 10 years now and I doubt anyone can safely say the call is legitimate anymore, since scammers are well aware of it and spoof it to scam "donations" to their pockets.

I never gave my number to anyone, and certainly not to Telefund. They call constantly, and if you block one number, they do not take the hint: They call again from another. Do they think if they ever get through they will find a friendly reception? If I followed your advice, I would have to listen to numerous spiels, including those from scammers and other predator-thieves, each day, using up MY time, just because THEY have decided it is OK to invade the peace of  my home via telephone. This problem needs an answer. My answer now is a phone that blocks calls at the touch of a button. It at least helps.  But disturbing the peace is a crime, and the ridiculous number of unwanted calls to the homes of elderly people, or busy people, with no care for what it may cost them physically to get to the phone, or to try to secure themselves against such calls, should be a crime. I will tell all politicians and charities who think this is a way to reach people, that I for one do not support politicians, charities or businesses that think they can or should do this.

I would send a certified, return receipt letter telling them to stop calling you and to send you a copy of their written do not call policy that they are required to furnish by law.  Let them know that since they are hired by charities, etc. that they are required by law to cease calling you immediately and that future infractions will result in a TCPA lawsuit that will cost them at least $500 per phone call.

I received several calls from this number.  They don't leave a message and I don't answer.

Got calls in the past but now have it on my block call list.

A lot of calls; no voicemails. I'm on the do not call list guess I shall block this caller. These spam calls are frequent and annoying!

Telefund is a legitimate outfit; they make calls on behalf of charities and other organizations that don't have the resources to man a call center.  If they have your number it's because you gave it to some charity or other non-profit, who are now using Telefund to make their calls during a fund-raising campaign.  Your choice whether to answer and see who wants your money.  I give online. not in response to phone calls, so I just blocked the number.

Two missed calls from this number yesterday, and they didn't bother to leave a message or anything. Added them to my "Spam Caller" contact so I know not to answer them in future.

someone called from telefund on behalf of [charity] to ask for more money. idk if they're scammers. i blocked them anyhow.

A live person asked for my ex-husband, who has not been at this number for 10 years. I said she had the wrong number, she apologized and hung up. I then checked 800 Notes, my go-to source for info on egregious calls. Looks like it is a charity, but not one I give to. Nor would I EVER donate money in response to a random phone call. Hard to believe those calls generate any money these days. Yet still they come...

They have recently started calling me two to three times a day.

I called this number back.  They actually answer.  They fund raise for organizations to which you have donated in the past.  They give you the option to take your number off their list.  I don't really mind this type of call.  But I generally don't answer if I don't know the number.  Also they do identify themselves.  They aren't just spammers

My Cable company blocks any calls coming through that is either scam, robo callers sales calls, This number calls every night at the same time.  It will ring once then it gets bounce from my cable company. 99.9 of the calls I get are scam, sales, political, or charity....

Call my landline but I don't  answer numbers I don't recognize.  Answering machine picked up the call but they did not leave a message.  Unwanted call.
