Right - telestalkers! Called me from (806) 318-9855  Amarillo TX     Today 6/4/15 at 02:01 PM     - hung up on 'em soon as I geard the robo voice (I do know folks in Texas)

15:13 Recorded call, Caller ID said: Texas. Message said to call for important update to your credit card terminal, which I did not bother to call as this is not from our merchant.

Another  Call From  (806) 318-9855      Amarillo TX     Today 6/16/15 11:43 AM     0:09     Robo said something about "Credit card" so I hung up!

Recorded male voice simply announced that I must call this number back immediately to complete our credit card processing update.  This was not a call from our merchant services provider, as I talk to them from time to time.  This is not a legitimate business call, so IGNORE IT.

Calling wanting to update credit card term.. I use the Square. I update when they tell me to !

I just called them and told them they called a number that is registered on the do not call registry. She seemed genuine when she said she would have my number removed immediately! If I receive another call from them, I will take legal action.

It is an automated called saying it is merchant services and please call to make sure you are up to date.  I called and a phone operator named Amber quickly transferred me to Amy who wanted my phone number to verify my merchant services when I asked who they were she mumbled something that sounded like Century Data.  I quickly told her she was not our merchant services and we were NOT in any trouble with Amex or Discover for PCI or any other up grades to our terminal and she quickly threatened me with imaginary consequences and hung up.  This is a total scam!!!!

Tip - NEVER give a caller your account number or your machine number. If you do they can issue themselves credits and you are out the money !!

TIP - Merchant Services is an official sounding name. Most credit card processors have a department called Merchant Services but will usually put their name first. For example First Data Merchant Services.

Have received many robo calls from this number. Same story as previous posts. At best they are trying to get you to change processors and sell you new machines, at worst they are trying to break into your bank account.

I do not answer out of area calls. They can leave a message...no msg was left but after looking at the comments here, I figure they have phoned from several different numbers. I got rid of my credit card terminal many years ago, because I do not want one.
