another scam call

I hung up the phone as this was a scam call

Called for credit card information

Recd "urgent" message from them telling me we need to update our credit card machine.  We don't have one.  100% of our credit card transactions are done via computer.

I have figured out the solution with this company. You call them back and prank them to the point that they block you! If they block you then their autobot isn't exactly going to keep calling. I was getting calls nearly every day from this company until I did this. I would call them over and over, sometimes I would push down a number key the entire time. I do this about 10 times in a row... the employees get pissed. I don't really care. I have told your company to remove me from their list about 900 times in the last two years. Now I at least get a break from them and will only hear from them about once every 4ish months. Its much better.

I received a recorded message from these folks, requesting (as others above have stated), that our 'credit card terminal needs to be updated'. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SALES SCAM TO SELL CREDIT CARD TERMINALS! The company I work for has NEVER (EVER) accepted credit card payments, (we've been in business over 30 YEARS!). So, there is no need to update anything, except putting these schlemiels on a 'do not call list'.

Recurrent calls about credit card machine updates are annoying since I do not have a credit card machine.

Call all the time wanting to "Update your credit card terminal".. Our business does not have a CC terminal, and is listed on the Federal DNC registry. The name of this company is "Wholesale Payments" and you can reach their customer service (to remove your name from their call list) by calling 1-877-663-4745 Ext 2.. Called & spoke to a rep this morning, who was surprisingly friendly, stating to remove us from their call list. She took down Business name & said she would do so.

They just called & left a message ... same as the others ... about my credit card terminal needing to be updated.  Another phone number to be made aware of is (440) 306-6504!  Another scammer regarding Merchant Services credit card terminal!  Don't be fooled!  The sad thing is, it seems Merchant Services isn't too worried about these scammers ... I called them last week & was told to just hang up on them!  I wish more would be done to stop these idiots from scamming us!!

I got another call like this today. They are also using the number (888) 426-3440 and (800) 413-6468. Do NOT take this call or do anything they say! They are scammers who will steal thousands from your bank accounts after they "install" the "updated credit card terminal."

Yes - they wanted the president - I told them no way and to not call - woman called five more times and started screaming at me that the call was legitimate trying to scare me and demanding to know my name and title.  I know that our bank will actually email us if there is any change and I know the people on the distribution list - they would never have a "third party" contact us and demand to speak with the president regarding change.  The president of our company would never take the call.  They think whoever is answering the phone is stupid.

They also call from 440-306-6504.  Scammers.
