Same here, got a 2.99$ bill for a call that was never made or received, 1 minute duration. Bell is as unhelpful as usual, saying (after looong discussions and authorization processes) that they will remove the fee from my bill but that they will forward it back to Triton Global so that they can bill me directly. Great! Of course I had no answer when I asked how come Bell's systems are so porous that a third company can fraudulently bill it's customers. Never saw that in the small printed contract that came with the landline. Sure I can defend myself but what about all those who can't?

I got this call too and never made it from my phone I had never had this before 807 788-1246 and had to pay 2.99 with bell. All the years I have had a phone with different phone companies never have I had this done to me.
Third party charges soundn't be aloud because it can be a scam. I am going to switch to another phone company if bell doesn't stop this scam with me being the payee for something I didn't use.

My elderly mother received this $2.99 charge on her bill for the same phone number.  She writes down all of the long distance calls that she makes and she knows that she didn't call that number.  She called Bell and got nowhere with them.  Nice that the multi-billion dollar company has to stick the $2.99 charge to an elderly woman on a fixed income.  Anyway, she told me about the charge and I found all of your posts regarding the number.  Thank you for all of the information.  It made my mother feel better that she wasn't the only one in the situation.  She called Bell back armed with this information and she took one woman's advice to go straight to the top.  In the end, Bell caved and revoked the charge.  They also put a block on her phone so that number can't be called from her phone, even though she didn't call it in the first place.

Got a $2.99 charge to Triton Global Dir-Assist on my March Bell.  Thanks for the ideas on how to proceed with this..  Will do so this week...

Same situation for me on January 31 - I did not call this number and emailed Triton and go the same responses. Charged 2.99 on my bill. Triton claims I dialed an 800 number that had been changed and that I had pressed 1 to get their directory assistance. That did not happen. Bell charged me the 2.99 plus tax. I filed with the CRTC on line...on principle, not the amount!  

We got a billing from them as well. it took 2 phone calls before Bell credited our account.

Had $2.99 charged on phone bill from Rogers. It says Third Party Call for Triton Global. Rogers credited right away.

I just got this $2.99 charge on my Shaw bill.  When I phoned them they told me that this charge is from Triton Global for a directory assistance.  After reading on Triton Global info  about this # I can see that this # has generated lots of complaints.  I do not understand that this stratege continues on and on.  I did not accept these charges and it is wrong to get bill for it.  Hope that by reporting it will finally get someone attention at Triton that this # should be blocked.

disconnected once so far and on hold for a total 45 minutes waiting for Bell to look into a $2.99 charge from Triton Global, cost more in wasted time than what the credit would be if they decide to issue one. no wonder the scams work so well

I received a charge for $3 on my Shaw cable bill this month. When I called Shaw they said it is because of calling a directory assistance number too 1-807-788-1246, but I have never dialed that number. Then Shaw said that is because somebody called me and asked my number to pay for that call. But I have never had that kind of call too! Eventually after one hour wasting my time to argue with Shaw, they reversed that charge only for this time!!!! I asked them to block this service as I'm not interested to be scamed by this kind of game, but they said they can not do that!!

I had the same experience with Rogers one year ago when I received $25 extra charge on my bill. I called Rogers at that time and they said that was because of 5 "special" text messages that I had received from a third party!! I asked who that third party is, but they said noting! I asked them to block or remove that service, but they said they are not able to do that!!! They said I have to pay that extra charge because Rogers have to pay to that third party company!!!! I think they are sucking people by this scaming. The third party company and Shaw and Rogers share in that scam to suck people. They are all working together in this, making money for each other.

I also got charged $2.99 + tax on my Bell bill indicating a directory assistance call thru Triton Global DIR ASSIST and called Bell to dispute the charge.  Fortunately I Googled the # before calling Bell and found this scam has been going on for some time. The Bell employee told me there was no way Bell can reverse the charge & I had to call Triton & she would even patch me thru to them. After reading experiences by other Bell customers I asked to speak with  a Supervisor who not only reversed the charges but blocked any future calls to or from this number.

Unwanted calls from 807 788 1246

We have been billed by Bell for a call that we never placed from our business line. It is 807-788-1246 the name appears as Triton Global Business Services on our Bell telephone invoice. The date was apparently May 22, 2014.

Today Bell reversed the call charges for us no problem.

My mom was billed for 2 calls from Triton Global, phone # on the bill 807-788-1246. That seemed  very suspicious, because one call was done at 22:08, my mom who is very old person and doesn't speak English, is already in bed at 20:30. I called Bell, after a long discussion, they did a favour for our loyalty: they reversed the charges. OK, $6.00 is not the end of world, but what I should do to stop these charges. I found on the Internet a lot of complaints against these charges, when I talked to Bell about this activity, they replied to me that they never heard about Triton Global.  Instead of helping me, they offered to block my long distance line. They want to punish my mom do not have access to her family abroad!  I called to CCTS/CRST and was told that they did investigation last year about this company and this is not telecommunication provider, so they don't have authority to deal with them. So, why Bell bill us without our consent for something from not telecommunication provider?

I just got off the phone with Bell, I told them we didn`t make this call to Global DIR_ASSIST and after a lond and heated talk I finally got a credit for this call. This number is from Thunber Bay, yes  I know Thunber Bay not Thunder Bay, I googled it and I found the city where the number is located.
If I have anymore problems with Bell, I am going to cancel my house phone and cell phone and switch to a different phone company.

We just found this number on our bill from Telus for 2.99 plus tax
Says it is being billed from Fast Track Global Services
We are calling now to have it removed

a call from someone that supposedly lasted 10 min and is impossible that anyone here could have possibly called this number at the time they said it was .......no messages on our machine??
and was charged for this supposed call............ridiculous ...better get a refund from this scam of a place
if it was a telemarketer that is scamming customers I will be mad ...not to mention I see several complaints from all types of people from all different phone services Rogers, Bell, Telus, Shaw ...all having the same fraudulent thing happen to them....someone needs to investigate these schisters

I never made a phone call from Triton Global Dir_Assist, passing by Bell Canada -  on August 6th - at 12:44 for a total amount of 2.99$.  Tél: 807-788-1246. It was an unauthorized long distance call.
I never know nobody from Ontario.

My point is that how a person can used name and phone number for doing that kind of thing
Could you please investigate in order that this kind of situation never happened again. Thank you.
