1 call DIR ASSISTON  (807 Northwestern Ontario exchange)  for 2 min  $3.94 on October 25, 2015. No such number found when reverse lookup was made with 411.ca.   Further inquiry from  whitepages.ca  turned up a land line,  location was at  Fort Frances, Iristel Inc. Located on the Minnesota/Ontario border.  Called phone provider (Cogeco) and was issue resolved.

This charge appeared on my bill in Dec 2015; we never made that call or asked for directory assistance.  Northern Tel reversed the charge this time.  I will report to the authorities if it happens again.

Noticed a charge of $3,49 on my Shaw phone bill:  "Alternate Long Distance Provider - Triton Global"
When I contacted Shaw about it, they stated that:  "Generally anything listed as 'Alternate Long Distance Provider' is a call made to a 1-800 or 1-900 number or a number which charges on a per minute basis."
As far as I can tell, no one made a call to this number from our office.

We have been billed $3.49 plus 13% HST - Total: $3.94 for Directory Assistance on Nov. 10, 2015 at 2:30 pm that we did not make.
How could this happen?  We don't know anyone from Thunder Bay and have no reason to look for anyone or any company there.

This is a directory assistance service and they will not credit you back. You should, Must call them at 1-866-340-4990 and they will put your number on the Do Not Call List and no services. Then they can not block you. I never called but still was billed. Fido said that only Triton could credit you and they refused. I did get my number blocked.
I also blocked my cell numbers.

Got a bill for this call. Did I make it? Called Bell in Ontario. Apparently any 411 or operator assist is billed $3.49 from this 3rd part (Triton). Tough luck, ma Bell says. Don't use operator or 411 or you'll get the charge.

I'm having the same problem. Guys this serious issue and this need to be solved... the list is growing...

Just got this  $ 3.49 charge from 807 788-1246 called Bell. Triton Global shows as a Canadian company. The charges however have been reversed as a one time exception. Please advise security of this fraud, its well documented on the internet.. Please STOP CRIME !!!

I noticed this number on my December bill and didn't recognize it so I looked it up online. Found ALL these messages and was pretty annoyed to see how long this has been going on. I called NorthernTel (Bell) this morning hoping they would do the right thing for me as they have for others who posted so. A woman said she could not reverse the charge and that I would have to call Triton Global directly. I asked to speak with a supervisor and I am still waiting for them to return my call. I called Triton while waiting to hear from NortherTel\Bell and had them block my number. Then I asked them to reverse the charge as I did not make the call. The woman refused saying that she can't. When I asked to speak to someone else she the only other person is the owner and he doesn't take calls. So I also blocked my cell. Hopefully NorthernTel will handle this the right way or they will lose my business. Although it doesn't seem to make a difference and so many others have experienced the same issue with Telus, Shaw and Rogers. I don't understand how both companies can say that they can't reverse the charge. Someone HAS to be responsible for this!

thank you for the info on 807 788 1246 , it appeared on my mom's phone bill ..thanks to you i called northern telephone and they dropped the charges ..this time only ..i wish the problems would never more happen ..lol ..guess that would be too lucky

Every month since Nov. 2015, on our Rogers bill (Nov. Dec. 2015, Jan. 2016), we have been billed $3.49 plus 13% HST = $3.94 for Third Party calls for 1:00 min. - Directory Assistance Service Charge for calling 807-788-1246, which we never did.

I have called Rogers several times to report this scam, but Rogers would not do anything to stop it probably because Rogers (like all the other phone companies) gets paid by customers who do not check their monthly charges carefully.  I have to call Rogers EVERY month to have the $3.94 charge removed from my bill.  How long will this scam continue?  Is there something we can do to stop it?  Is CRTC the organization that can put a stop to this constant and blatant scam?

I'm guessing Rogers is your phone company.  Contact your local public utilities commission or whatever they call the government office that regulates telephone companies.  Even better, next time you call Rogers to dispute that charge tell them that you are going to contact your public utilities commission.  That might scare them into blocking the charges.

Received our Bell bill, which included a charge from a company called Triton Global Assist-ann for $3.49 and tax.  I called Bell to inquire about this charge, they informed me that I would need to call Triton at 1-866-340-4990 and ask them to block my number.  Also, to ask about the call.  The lady at Triton was very vague, and was quick to put the onus back on Bell.  I reiterated that I would like our number removed.  I then called Bell back, and told them what she had said.  In the end the amount charged by Triton could not be removed, but the CS rep was able to reverse the amount in another area on my bill.  Triton Global is a legit business, but apparently some of the businesses that they collect for are not on the up and up.

Used our cell phone to look up the # for Access Comm, and used the call now option. We got a message stating the number has been changed and to get redirected the charge is $3.49 and to press 9 to be redirected. Like dumb dumbs we did, we were given the same number we had just called. So we called again and got the same darn message, did not press 9 again. So needless to say waiting on our bill, but from this point on we are not going to use the call option on the internet.

I am using Rogers and I run into the same problem you have. The same one-time charge $3.49+HST=$3.94 appears in my Jan. and Feb. monthly bills and I already called them twice to have it reversed. The customer service said he had no clue and thus he could only credit back the charge and asked me to monitor the next bill...

Are you still getting this charge in your latest monthly bill or you problem has been resolved?

We have been billed by Bell for a call that we never placed from our private residence. It is 807-788-1246 the name appears as Triton Global Business Services on our Bell telephone invoice. The date was apparently Feb 29, 2016.

Today Bell reversed the call charges for us no problem.
This problem seems to have been going on for quite some time!!!!!

Company is indeed Triton Global. It's odd that 3 calls were made, all on the same minute, and charge per minute is different.

I did as suggested -- called my phone co (Shaw), let them know of this scam and requested them to block the number. I also contacted Triton via their website and requested that they block my phone from accessing their service.

The crooks have this phone number from Iristel.ca. please wrote to them and ask them to stop those crooks. It seems that Shaw is in on it because the company does not want to do anything about this SOB who run this phone number. This is happening to everyone on Shaw telephone services. Why Shaw? In my opinion. Shaw is an accomplice because they know about those crooks and the do not try to stop them.
