Got a call this morning, saw the garbage number and did not answer.

But I did get an e-mail from "Consumer Reports" today about the robocall problem and how much of the problem is due to the phone companies slow or do nothing attitude about the problem. They recommend everyone also start complaining to their phone company to adopt technologies that will block the calls and quit stalling.

An excerpt from the "Consumer Reports" message:
"There are so many scams, the government can't keep up. Despite recent FTC actions costing robocallers millions, the calls continue.
But technologies to block many robocalls already exist. The phone companies have been slow to adopt them, claiming they may not block everything or could inadvertently block a legitimate call. Yet these technologies are already in use in Canada.
Tell the phone companies to stop making excuses and take the lead — stop the robocalls!
Help us stop the robocalls with a quick message yourself. After you've taken action, forward this message to anyone else you know who might want to help! The phone companies need to hear our message — loud and clear!"

I've been doing this with my service provider for over a year and while it has done no good so far, I will continue to ask them to do something rather than do nothing at all.

Hope others will start complaining to their providers rather than just posting "stop calling me" which does absolutely nothing at all.

Received  call at 2:30 pm on 9-12-2014. Not answered and no message left.

These people have called my cell phone more then a dozen times and I tell them to remove my number. I put my cell phone number on the National do not call list over 6 months ago. can anyone tell me how to get them to stop calling my cell number.
