Called 2 times yesterday saying I had credit card debt. wtf?

Just got a call from this number and when I answered they hung up. So I googled it and came here. Then I called back and they said something about a call I received earlier today about my credit card. I've never had a CC and the only person I talked to today on the phone was my cousin. I said that I never got any calls today and they said, "um ok..." and were silent for a few moments before asking, "Do you have any credit card debt at all?" I said no I do not and the person seemed a bit confused before saying, "Um, ok well you have a nice day."

Got a call 8-11-09 and 8-12-09 from this number, I did not answer and they left no message. After reading the above memos this is a scam artist.. as seen on dateline and other news sources, these scam artist try to obtain info about you and your info, credi card number and or pin including your DOB and SSN, they try to work on those whom are desperate to alieve debt and obtauin a finacially clear life. Please beware and never give your info over the phone. Credit card companies have your info.

This # has called every day around 2:30-3pm this week... Starting to get annoying. Anybody know what to do?

WOW, Glad I saw this. It's 8/13/09 12:55 pm and got a call from them 5 min. ago. Didn't recognize # so I googled it...this came ^ TADA Gonna give them a piece of my mind if they do call again. Thanks guys! ;)

5 calls over the course of two days from the same number. Came here and saw the spam reports. Tried to google it and it comes up as a land-line in Tampa, FL. Spoke to the person once on the phone and they try to tell me I have credit card debt. I don't even have credit cards. I think this is an identify fishing scam.

My cell is on the do not call list and yet this is still coming through.  Thanks for the info on this site everyone, when they do call I will ensure they do not call every again to my cell.

What the @*!@$#? Got 2 calls within the last 10 minutes. Same number called yesterday and Tuesday. I never picked up. I just called the number from my work phone, because it would be untraceable. Some guy answered and said... "Hi. Are you calling back about the new phone card you got today?" I just hung up. I suspected some kind of scammy thing. A friend recently received a similar scam call at work! This guy was very rude...trying to talk about her credit...he told her that he had her address and phone number (he said them to her) and obviously had her work number somehow. When she wasn't doing/saying what he wanted, he became extremely vulgar and insanely rude!! Don't ever trust anyone on a phone call that you didn't initiate yourself- to an actual company! Maybe these people will start looking for a real job, like the rest of us!

I was called by this number 7 times in 4 days!! I usually don't pick up numbers I don't know so I just let it ring, but after the fifth call I answered the phone but the person just hung up. (talk about annoying -.-) Then I got a call later and answered it. A lady said they were a credit card relief something. These people picked on the wrong person because I DON'T EVEN HAVE A STUPID CREDIT CARD!! Beware naive people, I bet this is just some type of identity scheme.

Received 3 calls from this number today. Answered one and the hung up. Called the number back and did not receive a ring, just dead air for about 5 seconds and the call disconnected.

Receiving multiple calls from 1-813-356-0305.  Web says it is a phish scam. If you call this number back they say something about lost property then disconnects.

Received call, dead air. Caller ID said Florida and 813 356 0305. Figured that someone was trying to find out if place was inhabited and by whom, after receiving a phony check via courier a day earlier.

I don't know, but assume that there could be a connection to credit card fraud, employment scams, identity theft somewhere.

I'm receiving phishing calls from 8139560305 every few days. PLEASE STOP THESE CALLS. They have to be stopped.

Okay, rec'd 4 calls to my private office # directly yesterday.  Today I have rec'd 1 call directly to my private office #.  Everytime I pick up, they hang up.  What do i do?  I understand watch my credit report, but there has to be more that we can do.  Please help, identify theft scares me to death!  All help is greatly appreciated - Massachusetts

Have been getting calls from this number daily. Looked up the number and got this webpage. Looked up the name on the caller ID and got the following info. Asked them to remove my number from their calling logs. We'll see what happens.

Two phone calls in the afternoon. A male speaking that is somewhat hard to understand.  He sounds like he could be around age 30-40.  He asked if I was still interested in the loan that I applied for online.  I asked now who are you calling for?  And he ended the call.  A short time later he called again and asked if I was still interested in the unclaimed money that I searched for on the internet?  Again I asked what? And the phone call ended.  I reported these calls to the local Sheriff's department and also to the Astrotel phone company in Tampa, FL.  And my phone company too.  Next step the Tampa Sheriff's Department.  I hope for resolution.

Called our house 3 times and left no messages or hung up when we would answer!!!!  WHO IS THIS AND WHAT DO THEY WANT?????
