- DoonieThis number calls my land line and my cell phone at least five times a day. It starts at exactly 8 am and make calls even after 9 pm. I'm wondering how do we get rid of this caller.
- notgivenThey call nearly every day without leaving a message on the machine when it picks up. I don't answer this line, that's what I have a machine for. Family and friends call my cell.
I know the real bank will leave a message because they did when they wanted to know if we made a charge, I picked up when I heard it and the whole call was automated and it gave the details of a couple of charges I made earlier in the day and asked to confirm we really made the charges by pressing numbers on the keypad. I don't recall what the number was on caller ID that time.- Caller: ?Citicorp credit
- To Credit CollectorsQuit pestering people and GET A LIFE of your own. If people are not answering their phone or paying their bill...what in the world makes you think you're harassment will change that???!!!! You're all a bunch of IDIOTS!!!! How do you know people are "deadbeats"? That's how debt collectors treat everyone and you haven't got a clue. You get a phone number and just keep harassing people because you have no life of your own!! STOP HARASSING PEOPLE!! When you don't get any where after a phone call or TWO then stop calling!!!! I just unplug the phone and figure you can just listen to the phone ring and it only wastes YOUR time not mine. If I want anyone to call me....I give them my cell number and still get any IMPORTANT CALLS that I want!!! Happy dialing!!!

- Matt NIf you are able to do so, assign a silent ringtone to the phone number. That way you won't be bothered by the call.

- RetiredThey kept calling my cell phone. Most times when I picked up the phone it went dead within a few seconds. Other times a machine said "stay on the line for an important message" and then the phone went dead. I called the number and a real person answered "CitiBank". I explained that I keep getting calls from this number and would like to know what they want. She said "hold on" and then came back asking if I was a certain person (by name) or perhaps a relative of that person. I explained that I had never heard of anyone by that name and because this is my cell phone I am concerned about all the calls coming in. She said that she would code my number as a "wrong number" and that when it was posted overnight, the calls would stop. We'll see..
- Caller: CitiBank
- JanaV| 2 repliesonline at www.ftc.gov is worth a try. Put in up to 3 phone numbers on the do not call list. Thanks to Bill

- Retired replies to JanaV| 1 replyHave had all my numbers on the no call list for years. I've reported CitiCard's abuse to the FTC to no avail. The calls haven't stopped. I complained online through my CitiCard account and was referred to another phone number. I called that number and the young man did a lot of research while I remained on the line. He acknowledged that 816-420-4003 is, in fact, a valid CitiBank phone number. He gave me a workorder number and said they would stop calling me. That didn't work either, as they're still calling me today.
- Retired replies to RetiredAfter complaining a couple more times through my CitiCard account online, the calls have finally stopped. They've updated my "privacy options" and admitted that another account holder's file erroneously had my cell phone number listed. Apparently the "DEFAULT" privacy option is that they (and their business associates) can call you anytime for any reason. You have to notify them if you want to opt out of having your phone number shared. Thank goodness the calls have stopped!
- D GreenI got call from 816-420-4635 and they swore I was delinquent on "one of my accounts" but wouldn't tell me which one until I was willing to give them my mother's maiden name. They wanted as much information from me as possible before they would even answer one of my questions, so I hung up. They came close to threatening me with late charges if I did not give them the information they requested.
- Caller: Claimed to be Citi Cards
- Joe Blow From MiamiI keep getting call from 816-420-4003 at all hours of the day but mostly between the hours of 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. it appears to be from Citicard. When I called the ask for my card number or social. Needless to say, that I gave neither. So their subjection was to look at my card for abnormal activities.
- Erika| 1 replyIt's Citicards, and it's legitimate (and granted, annoying). They will continue to call you until you've settled your bill. If you don't answer, they will keep calling. They do not leave voicemail messages. I called them back and they did not ask for my account number. They asked for the phone number where I've been receiving the calls. For security purposes they asked for my mother's maiden name. I gave them both and they pulled up my information and we settled the issue. No big deal, and they were really friendly and helpful. Then the calls stopped. No one scammed me, and no one stole anything from me. No need to be paranoid here - always better to talk to credit card companies and find out what the problem is otherwise problems tend to escalate.
- Caller: Citicards
- ElNew TracFone Customer - received a call from this number - Ended Call because I am not a customer of Citi Card (Did a reverse telephone search to learn name). I am registered on "The Do Not Call" list. Why am I receiving business calls?

- njIf you are a debtor to citi better off to resolve somehow but you do have the right to have them contact you via mail only. Just spoke with a credit attorney today. Citi and the rest of them have access to your unlisted phone number by buying the number from companies that provide it. The do not call database means nothing. They spend alot of time researching how to find you.
