I get calls from this number too. Says on Caller ID that its a Clothing Donations..

I called them back and they said they pick up clothing donations for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and a couple of other charitable organizations

If this number is from a charity donation pick up service based in the Arlington TX area why are they calling residents of Oklahoma City. We have enough local charities calling. We don't need some from another state.

I agree with the man from Oklahoma. I also live in OK and am tired of all the organizations calling to come pick up stuff at my house. While this company may be legit, what makes these callers think I 'll put my thongs out for an anonymous "face" on the phone?

I personally give items to a charity's local operations.

They call all day from 8 am to 9 pm.  How do we get our number off their list?

They call at least twice a day and only hang up when I have answered.  They never leave a message like legitimate organizations do.  I think they are using the number and dummy name to mine data for telemarketing purposes.  This is a very typical procedure for an unethical firm.  How do we block these calls?  Tulsa, Oklahoma

I'm also in Tulsa and get these calls daily. I usually don't answer, but yesterday I did. So typical of these bogus calls, they hung up. I get at least 6 junk calls a day from various numbers. I'm ready to just turn my ringer off and only call back numbers I recognize at the end of the day. It's just too annoying.

I want off this list.  They call every day, I do not have something to donate every day or weekly.

They do seem to be a legitimate organization and are listed on the United Way's North Texas website.  It is the donation center for the Leukemia-Lymphoma Society North TX Chapter and their address is 805 E Park Row Dr, Arlington, TX 76010.

I too live in Tulsa and get the call at least twice a day.  I have blocked the number on my Ooma and the calls no longer come in.

I get these calls every evening.  I have friends in the 817 area code.  I have almost made the mistake of answering them.  It rings the 3 time rule, no message and then they call the next day.

I received a call from this number which up until now I had been ignoring.  When I answered it I found that it was actually a local friend.  I live in Edmond OK and so does this individual.  Why they showed up on my caller-id as being from this number is beyond me.  I suggest that calls from this number be answered and if it happens to be form the collection company simple ask to be removed form their call list.  They are required by law to comply.  If on the other hand it's someone else then you might have saved a friendship.

I donated used clothing and household items to United Cerebral Palsy.  Unfortunately, they seem to have sold my name to half-a-dozen clothing charities for a "sucker list" which includes this company.  You'd think UCP would want to keep their donors for themselves.  I've told all the charities I'm moving and don't have anything to donate (true), but they just keep calling.  Eventually they may stop.  In future I will only donate my used household items to Goodwill or Salvation Army, where I can take them myself.

watch for the number variant: 118172735501 indicating that the person who set up the auto-dialer is a [***].  Caller claimed to be taking clothing donations for Federation of the Blind.  Not the National Federation of the Blind.

I get phone calls from this business 3 and 4 times a night, minutes apart from each other.
I have blocked the number and then another number from the business will call!  PLEASE remove me from your list.  If I wanted to donate, I would have called you back!

We get calls from this number almost every day. Sometimes it says Clothing Pickup and other times it just says Unknown. It's always an 817 number but the last 4 digits sometimes are different. No message is ever left and nobody was on the line the few times that I did pick up in an attempt to tell them to STOP calling me!

I have been called by these people over and over again.  The phone ID says "Clothing Pickup".  When I finally aswered to tell them to stop calling me, a man answered with a very heavy Middle Eastern sound voice and I asked him to not call my house anymore.  This started me to wondering who these people are....has anyone checked on them to see what their cause IS and who they are collecting for?  To assume that someone is calling from a good cause and not really knowing is not very wise.  If someone knows a way to check on this group, please do.  The fact that they say they are collecting clothes but call people even in Oklahoma, .....that doesn't make sense.  And.....WHO are these clothes collected for????

3 calls from them yesterday.  finally answered phone, and I was not nice.  told them to get me off the list.  guy on the other end said ok.  hmm.  the way these callers with their hands out, what is going to happen around Christmas?  the ony charity I give to is the Salvation Army.
