Im not sure why people believe BNS deliver packages. This is a business-to-business courier service that delivers only letters or documents, not packages. Some people are saying this is a repo or a creditor, which is false. BNS may deliver a letter on behalf of those types of companies, but is in no way affiliated with them. If you are expecting a delivery from this company, it could be a number of things, as they deliver for hundreds of different companies.

BNS   does   field service  work  for   Field service  company's   they  more than likely  are  trying  to  get info on  the house  for the  mortgage  company. Information they  would  want  ie   color of  house   and   who lives there. They  should  be   out  doing   in  the   business what we  call a  drive   by inspection  to  verify   the  condition of the house,  color  who lives  there etc. This is something  just about 99% of   banks  and lenders  do  to  verify  the  info on the  house at least  once a  year and   up to  twice a  month if the  house is in Foreclosure  etc.

Just got the call today.  They left a voicemail at my work number saying they were trying to deliver a package to my home.  Since I am not expecting any deliveries, I looked up the company name on the Web and found this thread.  The message they left me said to call Bethany back at 817-656-2036.  After so many people report it, whay can't the scam be stopped?

One of the clients I do work for is BNS Services.  They are not up to any criminal activity or running any scams.  They are a 3rd party agency that is hired by companies to locate individuals who are in default on their loans.  The package is normally just a letter from the collection agency, and we are required to verify the location of the collateral that was put up for the loan.

That is all there is to it.  No scams, no criminal mischief, just tracking down people who don't pay their bills.

And by the way, BNS Services is not a repossession service....  They simply verify the current address of the debtor and collateral in case it comes to repossession.

The ONLY package this company is going to courier to your house is a repo man to take away your car.  If they call, you better work out your auto loan with your lender.

Kate you must work for the company, Because like everyone else I received the same calls. The first time I asked them to fax over the info and never got nothing back HAHAHA all leads to a SCAM. The second time they asked if they could deliver to the office if the tenant was not home HAHAHA the tenant does not live here no more and no package showed up. So tell me they are a real company. BEWARE OF THIS.

It is an odd call to receive, but this is not a scam by any means.  When certain creditors are having difficulty making contact with debtors who are in default on their mortgages, auto loans, credit cards, etc.., they will send out a courier service to drop off a letter and / or attempt to conduct a borrower interview.  (In this case, that courier is BNS).  BNS is not a debt collection company or a "repo man"... they simply drop off a letter for the creditor and if called for, take photos of the collateral (house, boat, automobile, etc.).  I do not work for BNS, but I have worked for several companies that perform the same services as BNS.  I realize that people will be skeptical and will believe what they want, but hopefully this will help some of you understand why you are receiving these calls.  You can also call and verify with your creditor that they sent out a field services company to drop off a letter... they will be happy to finally make contact with you and will likely stop BNS from bothering you.

These guys are not trying to scam you.  They are providing an inspection service for their clients.  I should know, I have been doing inspections for them over the last couple months.  From what I see, they provide inspection services at a basic level to clients like others have mentioned--if you have some type of loan and you have missed payments, the creditor will try to get in touch with you.  If you do not respond to the creditor, they will call someone like BNS.  I do several types of inspections for different clients, and BNS seems to deal mostly, if not completely, with this kind of inspection.

If anything, you guys do not need to be worried about BNS scamming you....I, on the other hand, DO.  The lady that owns this "company" owes me hundreds of dollars for work already completed.  I have told her that I will not perform any more inspections for her until I am paid for all the work I have done.  The last I heard from her was two weeks ago, that I would be paid last week, and no check ever came.  BNS is not scamming you or trying to repo your car, they are scamming me and possibly even other inspectors like me out of the money we have earned.  If you are contacted by this company, they are simply trying to gain information for their client and you can respond as you wish.  But if you are an inspector and Barbara wants you to do inspection work for her, be very careful.  Make sure you document every job you do, when it was due and when you provided complete results.  Save copies of every email you send.  As it is now, I should have been finally paid last week for all this work, and have not been, though I have been told several times that a check had already been sent, none ever shows up.  If I do not see a check in my mailbox today, I will be forced to take her to court to get paid, and then she will have to pay more.  I live outside of TX and so the cost of me having to travel/stay in TX for court will be tacked on, no doubt.

Are you this ignorant by default or did you have to work at it?

YES, the kind of inspection that they are trying to perform is legitimate.  YES, a lender actually contacted them and asked them to provide this service.  NO, the company itself known as "BNS SERVICES" is NOT legit.  They are scamming inspectors like me out of money we rightfully earned.  I do not live in Texas, I am in Louisiana and I performed my work here.  I still do perform inspections here, just not for Barbara Williams/BNS anymore.  I already tried to tell you that the inspection itself is not a scam.  I ALSO tried to tell you already that the company IS a scam.  When people work for you and you refuse to pay them, what the hell difference does it make if I told you the street address or not?  You act like I am a shill, planting info to make it appear that these guys are legit...why in the world would I post up something calling them crooks for not paying me if I was trying to help them, genius?

Do your homework, you will see several addresses associated with this company.  I will not post a street address, as it's entirely possible that the addresses I found are not all correct, and the last thing any of us should want is some dipstick like you harassing someone at a wrong address.  I found a couple addresses in Ft. Worth, a P.O. Box in Keller, TX, and something in N. Richland Hills.  I've found multiple phone numbers, one is tied to a construction company and another is tied to a registered sex offender with different last name.  If you really care so much about this company's info, then stop complaining online and actually do some digging yourself like I have done.  Morons who only care enough to complain should just shut up from the start---if you dont care to actually do the legwork yourself, then you dont care enough to [***] about it in here.
