- KSIt started out as a "computer problem" call. I am tired of getting this call and reminded the agent I was on their 'do not call' list and she hung up. I had time today, so I called back, and Jack said they were DirectTV. I asked Jack to put me on their 'do not call' list. He said it would be 72 hours. Knowing I've been told that before, yet the calls continue, I asked for the supervisor. John Cena announced himself as the Senior Manager on the floor, but he hung up on me when I demanded confirmation that I am on their 'do not call' list. I called back and got Jack again, who told me John left after he hung up on me. Jack taunted me, and asked if I was familiar with WWE because that is why the supervisor chose the name John Cena. I was then transferred to John Cena's manager Keith Michael who was apologetic and advised he would submit my name/number to corporate and it would take 10-15days. I asked for corporate's address, and Keith provided: 11514 Fairpoint, Houston TX 77099; which is a residential address. When I questioned the address, Keith assured me this was a good address, even if you google it, and it's some vacant lot or house, it is a good address. What a scam.

- MarkObvious scam purporting that my computer is sending virus messages so they need me to log into a website to update my antivirus. Man with an Indian accent called my cell phone to say "Remember me, I worked on your computer last December." Well that never happened, but he knew my name, address, cell phone number, and email address. He said he helped with Norton Antivirus, which I don't have on any home or work computer. I played with him for awhile, then said "Uh-oh, your phone number appears on an FBI website for scams" but that didn't scare him away at all, he kept trying to convince me to go to the website. I started to BS him about being a Cybersecurity expert and he was "insulted" that I would be dishonest and he finally hung up on me.

- Larry| 1 replyI answered after the second ring. There was total silence on the other end and then they hung up. OTHER CALLS: Is anyone else also getting occasional calls from numbers with your own area code and prefix and the last 4 digits are very similar to yours? Then you check the number and it is not listed here??? I think they must be generating different spoof caller ID numbers on the fly that are similar to the number they are dialing!!! THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! Why is in not ILLEGAL to use phony caller ID numbers with SEVERE PENALTIES??? Why can't phone companies develop a technology to prevent caller ID spoofing???

- BlueI played along at first to try and get info, he was in a noisy place and said 'This is Microsoft, I'm calling regarding your computer.' When I said what? He said I'm calling regarding your computer ma'am, are you listening?? Crazy rude like. I said I don't have a computer. And he laughed and said Oh all right. Bye.' When I worked at a call center for a popular website last year, it amazed me how many people called saying they'd fallen for this crap, expecting us to then be able to help them. I'm sorry to say it, but if you're dumb enough to fall for this bs....

- Ali BabaHad a little fun today. I'm all too aware of this scam. I messed around a bit. Even provided fake numbers for "Alex." I called back 26 times to waste these degenerates time. All of the comments I have read here are right on the money. You ask even a single question, they will get snippy with you. It's funny how tough they think they are over the phone. One comedian even asked me to blank his blank and tell him what flavor it is.... a real badass.

- JonCalled my cell. I called by from my masked work like, "Martu" answered saying he was with Directtv and had an offer, i told him they were not authorized for that. I told him i was going to report him to DTV and I called DTV and told them of the scam. They said they DO NOT ever use 3 parties to offer their services and don't even do cold calling themselves (I am already a DTV customer btw). I called back and the guy said he was with "Internet solutions" and his name was "alex", even though he already presented himself as "martu" I told him he was a scam and of course he said he wasnt and hung up. I called back and now he was "Keith" so I asked why he hated people so much to try to scam them out of their money.
- Caller: "Internet Solutions"
