a call saying they were the IRS....is this a scam?

Said it was IRS, and there was a warrant for my arrest. Scam?

Received a call today from this number. Said there is a warrant for my arrest. I gave him a few choice word....scumbag.

They keep calling me an telling me I owe them lots of money. They keep saying there a warrant arrest

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.

Received call around noon; went to voicemail and was given the spiel of how it's an officer from the IRS and there's a warrant out for me all this bull crap. Seeing as a)this 'officer' never mentions a name and b)an accountant has been doing my taxes for years, this is an obvious scam. Will be reporting to the *actual* IRS.

Same complaint as above. IRS OFFICER going to arrest me at my home today if they do not hear from me! Right!!!! Everyone know IRS does not contact you by phone for this same reason. All the BUS scams out there! You will always receive a letter first! Do not respond to these idiots!

They called me today,said same thing about the IRS,warrant issued,2 separate men got on phone, I told them I wanted proof, I told them to give me the number of the IRS and I would call them myself...they hung up !  I contacted the IRS web for fraud & also filed with them.  www.TIGTA.GOV...what a bunch of crap...

Message stating he was from the IRS and there was a warrant for my arrest. I know that the IRS does not make phone calls. I called the number back in order to advise the caller that I had actually reported then to the real IRS. The phone rang for about three minutes with no one ever picking up. I really wanted to say a few things to them.

same as other posters-call from supposed IRS office who claimed there was a warrant for the arrest of someone at my address.

Caller ID said Winnetka, CA...total scam threat message left by person with accent saying he was from the IRS.  Two calls within a half hour, same person, same message.  Never answer these and never call them back...!

I got a call, saying that I got a government grant. But they're Indians and I heard Indians in the background. He got really mad when I didn't participate. Idk what to do.
