Received three identical, recorded calls from this number within a few hours.  The call lasted about one minute.  The person in the recorded message had an accent that made it hard for me to understand her English, but it seemed that she was threatening legal action unless I called the number.  When I did, I talked to someone who said he was an attorney named Kyle Cooper, but he couldn't tell me why I had received the recorded message.

This number has been harrassing my work. So I called the number they left and a Kyle Cooper answered. He said if I have an attorney in hand but when I asked him to tell me what this was regarding. He couldn't tell me why. So I asked him for his full name, his extension number,  and address he didn't wanna give it to me all he said was that he was gonna f*#% my life up.. and he hung up.

Scam - Just tell them your attorney would love to talk to them since they are in India and have no legal rights here.  Whatever scam they are trying to pull is just that a scam.  Unleash all your anger at them, it's so refreshing.

Add me to the list of people who've received this message. Mine's from a guy but with a mega-strong accent. My *favorite* part of the message is "If you do not return this call, I can only wish you good luck as what will happen unfolds on you."

No legit collector or anyone else is going to end a message with a threat like that. I'm not even bothering to return the call.

I recieved the same message. They called my job and my cell they had my full social number and told me that I have to pay them or they was going to have me arrested in front of my co workers and was mean about it and wants me to call them back tomorrow to talk ot them more about this an told me it was for a loan company that was on line. I am going to call them and tell them that I have no record of this and that I will be giving this number to my lawyer.

Yep, I just had 2 of the same messages left within a few moments of each other. A man with a barely understandable accent was warning my husband, or his attorney, to call him back otherwise "If you do not return this call, I can only wish you good luck as what will happen unfolds on you." Thanks to all of you for posting - now I know this is a scam. My husband does a lot of internet surfing, so I'm wondering if he foolishly entered our home phone number somewhere online...

I just confirmed that my husband had made several online applications for small loans about 3 weeks ago. He would have obviously entered our phone number. And probably the last 4 of his soc. This jives with Amy's comment about an online loan company. We just called and signed up for LifeLock today, in case this goofiness gets out of hand. And yes, we received another call today - the fellow was reading the same script in the same broken English. BTW, is anyone of authority following up on our comments here, or are we merely venting to one another???

    Frustrated
Received the same message on my voicemail from a guy with a strong accent by the name of Michael Foster.  Returned his call and he wants me to hang up and call the same number but ask for Kyle Cooper.  I did and left a message asking for a case number.  This morning at 8:30 Michael Foster calls back with the same script yesterday and I told him that I called and left a message and he says to call again today because yesterday Kyle was not reachable.  Frustrating words exchanged and I hung up on him.  He called me back and asked why I hung up on him and continued to tell me then go to court tomorrow, we'll see you in court and I asked what court?  Where?  And he hung up!

Okay, first off today is Saturday and I don't know what court is open on Sundays.  Second, my cousin had something similar to Amy & Steph except they said a patrol car was on their way to his address to pick him up.  He called the Sheriffs dept & County Clerk to see if there were any lawsuit against him and they said no so he ignored the calls and they eventually stopped.  Third, after the hang up I called my friend who works for 9-1-1 dispatch, she says do not call them back.  Apparently, when you call them they can get more information about you from your cell phone. (which is why I had to call Kyle immediately after hanging up with Michael, right?!), and fourth, if you do have some type of criminal history, check on it and see if it surfaced if it didn't don't worry about it.  Always remember to get a case number from any "legal" calls because all they're trying to do is get more information from you.  A case number can tell you everything without falling into the scammers hands!  Good luck!

I too received a phone call at work. I could not understand the person but when I understood that I committed a serious crime, I asked to speak to someone who spoke better engligh. They hung up when I called back I asked for location and they gave it to me. It is supposedly 220 W Broadway in Los Angeles 90001 but I am unable to locate this address online.

How do we stop these calls espicially to my work place?

In the mean time ill just let my lawyer do what I party him for.

I just talked to a girl that also was threatened by this Indian sounding male claiming his name was Kyle Cooper.  She had also did a lot of loan apps on-line recently.  He told her he was going to have her locked up as well if she didn't send him almost $600 via money gram or Western Union.  No debt company EVER asked for debts to be collected that way.  When I called him to tell him to stop harassing her, he used the number I called him from and called her on her cell phone!!  Do not deal with this *#^hole!!!  It is a scam and he is more than likely thousands of miles away overseas somewhere.  Unfortunately, there is really nothing the police can do without extensive leg work and massive court orders which still would not extradite his lazy, no working butt here to the States.  Just be smart and DO NOT deal with him under any circumstances!!

Just received a phone call at work - said I had several criminal complaints against me. Very funny, if I didn't suspect they have my SSN like the rest of you on here. What a bunch of jerks.
