Received two calls from this number 818-666-5845  ? (unsure as I don't have caller ID on my land line), within a two hour time frame this A.M. However a woman's recorded voice stated the IRS owed a large sum of $2000 plus dollars and to get it transferred to bank account that I needed to call ASAP  to 818-666-5845.
I refuse to call the number but would like to report it as a scam!!

just  a  fyi  that    there  is  a  huge and   never  ending  amount  of  fraud  and  scam  calls    from the   "  202 "  area  code"............similar  calls  now  with    "  818"  prefix   !!!

some  are landlines...many  are  cell phones...some  are  spoofed  and  linked  to  offshore foreign countries !!!!
we've  traced  back  most  of  these  numbers  to  offshore  foreign    call centers and  scammers  working  out  of , but  not  limited  to.....  in  INDIA /  THAILAND /  AFRICA /  JAMAICA    ETC....

***   THESE    LOW  LIFE  LOSER  SCUMS  ALSO   IMPERSONATE   US  GOV'T  AGENCIES AND   OFFICIALS  (   CIA  /  FBI  /  IRS   )    AMONG  MANY  OTHERS..........


they  will  at  times  leave   obviously  fake  messages   that   they  " have  caught  you "  in  some  type  of  mysterious   drug   operation  and    related   fake  stories  / messages"...........(  just  one  of  numerous     fake  stories  )....others  noted  below.............

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

Received a voice mail. Accented male says that I have IRS refund awaiting verification  Check and found the number here. WOW isn't this illegal

This man Mike Jones has called my phone multiple times sayin hes calling for Attorney kyle cooper and ive threatened to call my attorney but he keeps calling. All hes keeps saying is huh yeah ok ok can tell hes a [***] lol

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

ABC News released an investigative report on this scam in June. The FTC has indicted one of its ringleaders for criminal fraud:

818 394 0373? person by name of kyle cooper. telling my husband owes 400+ if we pay today will owe gov. 5000. previous page people were complaing about a kyle cooper from california. he could tell what this 400.+ was from?

i have gotten four calls deom same area code 818 but different number saying they are taking legal action of warrent and all. then the last call was said he was from a court and telling me the warrent was issued. all my lawyers i talked to said it was a scam.

818-666-4946 scam# represent los angeles departement of power about over due bill for over 900 dollars need to shut down power and srew my credit if not co-operate now. reported to police.

lawsuit against me.....need to call back 818 666-8718 or I may be arrested at my workplace.
