My step son received a threatening phone call asking for payment or they would contact law enforcement to have both my step son and I arrested for a possible warrant for tax evasion. Neither he nor I have ever missed filing our taxes. I work for the State of Texas and have done so for well over 20 years. If I had ever missed paying taxes to any agency, State or Federal, I would gladly work with the tax assesor, collector, to remedy the situation. I cannot possibly fathom that any of those agencies would resort to threats or coercion to attempt to collect a tax debt. These phone calls are extremely harrassing and un-nerving. The company, or organization, that allows this type of tactics should have someone reverse the table on them, and drive them crazy, like they are trying to do to us. Meanwhile, the United State of America Attorney General's office should find these people and prosecute them in Federal court to the fullest extent of the law.

The message I just got was from 818-532-9226.  Can't call back.   Line busy.  Exactly the same thing - I am being arrested, at work, at home, my supervisors my boss.  "Officer Chris Williams"  limited English Proficiency.  Had SSN, etc.  From "Law Firm of Cyber Crimes Unit"  There are three counts fo fraud against me, etc.  I am really P****D!
