You know what's sad? They busted these people (or at least another group using the same "company name") back in 2009. They're back now, and being prosecuted again, well at least the same thing is being prosecuted again, don't know if it's the same people though.

There's no use calling the number back because it's usually a spoofed phone number. The information about Level 3 Communications is incorrect, they don't have anything to do with this...they're the one of the largest telecommunications companies and internet providers in the world, they just happen to be the party that holds the phone exchange for the number that was used.

I personally would LOVE to visit these scumbags at their houses and give them a piece of my mind for calling me for over a year now, but I'd probably get arrested. Hopefully they go to jail for a long time.

I periodically get these - same thing, offering lower credit card rate and they hang up when you tell them to remove your number from their calling list, and that you are on the do not call list.  i immediately go to FCC.gov and file a consumer complaint.  maybe after enough complaints are made, someone will fine them!

Answered call from idenity theives regarding lowering interest rate on credit cards.

I continue to get this number called to my home.... they never leave a message.. so I called the number back and it said was a number that is not in service??? I pulled up the exact number and hit redial so I know I had the correct number to call back .... Still the same not in service?? !! very annoying!!!!!

So sick and tired of these calls...............got home from vacation to see that we had a zillion messages....all from numbers like this.

Unsolicited call

I received the same call. This number called with something about seniors and a new security system. I am also on the do not call list- I pressed 1 to 'talk to a live representative about getting this product' so that I could tell them not to contact me again, but when I did so I heard some static and shuffling and then the call was dropped. Extremely annoying.

This is cut-n-dry. Don't answer it. You don't recognize it, do you?  Then go about your business. Have a good day.

Call FTC fraud# 877-382-4357 and file an FTC complaint against this company.  I did.  The call starts out as a robocall informing seniors that their calls to 911 may not get prompt response and it may cost them their lives.  Press 1 to talk to a rep.  Press 5 to be removed from their calling list.  First call used a different number and I asked to be removed from their list (even though I'm on the Do Not Call Registry).  Then they called from this number 828-475-7077 so I opted to speak with their representative.  From the background noise it was obvious it was a call center, so I asked the rep what telemarketing firm they worked for. Rep wouldn't answer the question and tried to obfuscate - then hung up on me.  When I called the number back from caller ID it was disconnected.  Probably spoofed.  An Internet search shows "Senior Emergency Care" may be attempting to scam seniors offering a "free" service that they actually charge for OR may be phishing for credit cards and such.

I want more people to research and expose these crooks. I've done a bit of reading into this, and it's amazing what you can find online. PLEASE COPY AND PASTE THIS!!! I appreciate others doing their own research too and exposing these frauds, because with 30 minutes of googling and reading, I found out that these people are repeat offenders, yet the FTC took YEARS to track down these idiots, after MILLIONS OF COMPLAINTS, when some of them turned out to be REPEAT OFFENDERS!
