They are a debt collector. Since all my debts are time barred, I am guessing they are a predatory collector trying to get me to pay for a debt that is so old it's insane. Asking me if someone will be available to take a summons. Ya, sorry, the sheriff doesn't call first to be sure you will be there. I asked what county they were filed in and they hung up.

Called me asking to settle legal matters for a Josh Hovola(spelling?)
Said he had used my number as a contact #, and they would be reporting him for falsifying legal documents.
No idea what they are talking about.

This Company called me to verify my address and served me with paper work about something I believe is for me but it has my name on it

called but would not state reason why...

They called me like 4 times back to back her name was amy smith  from df services and stated that ph & associates had a claim on me can i receive papers, but this the killing part ( you ask for my address to serve me papers) when i said i file a complaint against you already she quickly stated oh i see you been contacted already and hung up. Strange thing is answering machine says majic jack Customer is not able ....REALLY?

They called telling me they had sealed court documents on my brother......my brother was killed 6 years ago!!!!  What a way to make my da!! :(  I missed the call, and when I called back, it picked up with a message that the Majic Jack person was busy or soemthing to that effect.

Called asking if I was a family member of Amy smith or Amy somebody? I said no and take me of your call list they responded that Amy so n so n then said my name would be charged with fraud and I replied " whoh wait! I'm so n so but never heard of Amy smith? He hung up? Called # back n said DF services and messages were full at this time but went online n looked up phone # it's registered to a Mark Young on our phone log? Assuming after reading other posts this is just some joke/ baseless hack company?

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,CFB,FTC & FCC..

Just got call from this number stating that they needed to serve papers to someone and after 2 attempts he would be summons to court and charged but couldn't tell me for what or who they were calling from. I hung up on them and they immediately called back and said they were going to charge me with fraud. They were calling a business so it's probably going to be difficult to charge someone when they didn't even ask who it was! Joke!

I received the exact same call.  Who in the heck do these people think they are playing with?  Now it is strange that a processor server, so they say, is calling to make sure someone will be available.  Now when I was a TRUE processor server, with dealt with the element of surprise, not with a telephone call.  When I asked who the creditor was she could not tell me a thing, she stated that I can give you a number to our legal department and they can tell you who the creditor is.  But when I googled my county to see if I had any summons to appear in court, there were none.  This number is a joke.  This person just called me 6 times in a row and she called me a "OLD [***]" so I know this is nothing more than a collection agency trying to collect a debt that is over 7 years old and the statue of limitation has run out.  It's their own fault for buying a debt past the statue of limitations.

Yesterday I got a strange phone call stating that I had to serve papers to someone or I will be summons to court and charged. These people called my Job, my wife's phone and even called my step daughters, which is strange because her number is documented in any of my paper work. These people knew my name and attempted to make me pay up to $3,000. But when I asked what for and who they were they couldn't tell me where they were calling from. They just kept trying to send me to a different caller. Another strange detail was that they called my Wife, Step-Daughter and my job all around 2pm. They had me call 1877-285-4796 because they said they were debt collectors and that I needed to resolve this as soon as possible. They also claimed that I had open account from February 13,2002 - May 7, 2002 which is false.

8289196798 called asking for my SIL, who dose not have my #. Said that they have a Legel Complaint in her name and that she has one hour to call them back AT 877-285-4796, and refer to a #. I asked how they got my # and they radeled off my #, my DH's #, my other SIL and BIL's #'s. I told them to never call my # or my DH's #'s again and if they do I'll press charges. I was told that they can call me as much as they want..

I got the same call today asking for Rachel Clint and whether I can receive service of process for her.  Rachel Clint used me as a reference.  When I told the caller I don't know Rachel Clint and that this is an Asian family.  She said she would report Rachel Clint for falsifying documents.

my son received a call and they thought he was me they had my social # and said it was for a past due Verizon account from 5 yrs ago that I don't remember having they had me call 1-877-285-4796 when I did they said they got a judgement against me and that they could take my vehicles and garnish my pay check unless I paid them either 600 now or they charged my checking account for 900 over 6 months for a 1600 balance .if you need to contact me call 631-774-7167

THIS IS A SCAM.  828-919-0679 comes up as YMax Communications Corp. Landline in Forest City, NC on a reverse search, whatever that means.  These guys have been calling me and other family members saying that I owe somebody money and if I don't call 877-285-4796 for case # DJC2510 they're taking me to court and I'm going to be sent to jail, so on and so forth.  This is definitely a scam, but BEWARE because these scumbags have your name/phone number, your family member's names/phone numbers and they use terminology intended to scare you into giving up more information or god forbid even your actual bank card info -- DON'T DO IT!  If there is a warrant for your arrest, you can call your local county clerk to find out and legit legal summons from the courts get served to you at random without a phone call first and no creditor can put you in jail for debt without going through a court process first that you will be notified of properly.  It's terrifying that all this information is so easily accessible to these low life scum sucking losers.

Same spiel but used the name of a friend. When I asked where the summons was coming from, he said, "We just need to verify someone will be there". I said I haven't been in contact with the friend in over two years and she lives in another State. Asked for his name and he hung up.

These people are so rude, call my house number, trying to trick me, saying they are a processing centre, when I ask the lady what do they want wid me , she said this number is not associated with any of our account and hang up..I call back after they call my house with a block number.im going to report them.
