I got some of the same this afternoon. His name was Arnold Smith of DS Services and he called from Mark Young's 828-919-6798 in North Carolina about a legal complaint. Gave me 877-285-4796 to call within one hour and he was a Process Server. My ref# was DTR1432. So it appears that the Smith family works for them and they may be PH Associates. I filed an FTC complaint.

I received a phone call today from 828-919-6798. They said they are a process server looking for the mother of an ex-wife that I have been divorced from for about 20 years. The mother's phone number is the same today as it was 20 years ago, so she would be easy to locate. Further, why would they call me? If they have my 18-month old phone number as a link to a 20-year old contact (who I haven't spoken to for 12 years), surely they could have had her phone number as well. They said the company is called DF Services, which was short for Document Filing Services. I gave them no contact information, but did call back to inquire. No answer, but they immediately called me back. When I then asked to confirm who they are by requesting a website address, the lady asked to put me hold, and then hung up within 1-2 minutes. Clearly their purpose was not what they stated. My recommendation is that you DO NOT SPEAK TO THESE PEOPLE. There appears to be a high likelihood that they are lying to get information for a purpose that they will not disclose.

The internet shows that 828-919-6798 is a phone number based in Forest City, North Carolina (about 90 minutes west of Charlotte). The police department in Forest City, however, told me that 828-919-6798 is a proxy phone that is NOT based in Forest City, North Carolina, but that originates in Georgia. Georgia, however, may OR may not be also a proxy. BEWARE!

Just got a call they were asking for my wifes ex husband saying he falsified records to this phone # her ex husband never kne this phone # as they were divorced for over 5 years before we were married , just some scam get thes alot would like to find where they are and harrass them as they harrass us with the [***] stupid phone calls

Received call from a woman at 828-919-6798 wanting to know if anyone would be available to sign for court documents for M****** S*********. I told her that was my ex-wife and we had been divorced 9 years. She asked for phone number for her. I told her the only info I knew about her presently was where she worked. She asked if that was a phone number and I said no, the name of the company. She said we'll file charges for her falsifying documents. I told her I didn't care and asked where she got my cell phone number. She hung up.

You're spot on with all this information.  They had my telephone number attached to someone who has not lived here for at least 10 years.  They called and harassed my wife and daughters to tears.  I called back and found out a few things, they are calling from someone's garage the owners name is Mark Young.  They are not a legitimate business (duh) .  Report them to the attorney general within the area code their telephone number is listed.  If nothing else the phone number will get disconnected!

A guy and  girl (probably under the age of 20) were calling my business repetitively on Saturday afternoon.  Since our customer service line is monitored, I was able to listen to the phone calls when I returned on Monday.  These characters insisted that our business telephone number was that of someone who possibly had this number (maybe over 10 years ago???) and of course the same shpiel - they were going to serve papers, infact they said they were here to serve papers - doubtful, someone is in our office or warehouse at least 12 hours a day.  The name of the individual they had does not work here.  And if I recall, we have had this telephone number for the 15 years we have been in business.  At first I thought it was a joke we often get people calling to send sales reps to stop by to sell services.  We don't give them our infomation either - but as I listened along further, they became abusive and were clearly harassing my staff, went as far as to say the one guy was himself a sheriff, and he travels all over the country as a process server (I think at some level that alone can give him a few days of jail time...)I listened to the call several times and tried to call back yesterday, yes it's a Lojack - Magic Jack phone number in someone's garage.  This is not a legitimate or registered business, my guess it's husband and wife, or some guy and a few of his intoxicated friends.  I did call the AG's office and reported this, they asked me to try to get a physical address.  I called this afternoon and again no answer, but someone was kind enough to call me back this afternoon.  I found out the owner's name is Mark Young.  When I demanded a physical address of her business, and I did tell her that I was gathering this information to present to the attorney general in her state, she froze.  Of course little miss hot shot then hung up.  
This is not a business.   Not even an illegitimate business.  It's a few drunks with a non trackable phone working out of someone's garage using unbelievable tactics to scare people to get personal information.   No one should talk to them, and certainly do not believe anything they say. Keep reporting these people to anyone who will listen - they are scammers and using intimidation which is disgusting.  
The telephone number we are receiving phone calls from is the same 828-919-6798.  Today our line got several calls from strange numbers, we are guessing they are also using other types of VOiP and prepaid cells to make these contacts.
They are not able to charge, deliver, serve or do anything with anybody.  Other than putting a fork to their mouths, I'm pretty certain they aren't capable of much more.  REPORT THEM to any agency you can find.  When they call back, try to engage them in conversation to get information but do not give them any of yours.  I intend to call them back until I get the information I need to prosecute THEM.  Crazy what this world has come to!

Someone from the number 828-919-6798 called me not once, but TWICE asking for some girl named Amy. When I told them my name was not Amy , they asked if anyone lived here that could discuss ' Amy's records & falsifying records' . I politely said " No sir, there is no Amy here, nor do I know an Amy ". And he said " Are you sure, because she is in trouble for falsifying documents and we need to speak with her ', again I said ' NO, Sir I am NOT Amy nor do I know this Amy you speak of ", he then said he would remove me from the list. Just as I was going to hang up ANOTHER call comes through from the same number.

Someone from the 828-919-6798 has now contacted 2 people (unlisted cell phone numbers even!) with the same last name as the "person" they are looking for, AND 1 person who might be connected through a maiden name!!  I called 828 number to find out the "person isn't available & the mailbox is full", then the 877-285-4796 number. Explained that this needs to stop, and I want a supervisor or manager's information, and got HUNG UP ON!  IGNORE these calls.

I have a great ringback tone! It tells blocked numbers that I won't answer and if they don't like it?
Don't call back! lol I report them to FTC.gov and FCC.gov complaint forms and don't ever answer unknown
numbers! This one called and immediately disconnected when the ringback came on! lol
It's best not to get too upset over scammers, just don't talk to them EVER!

So...this mark young person or fake person/scammers is @ is @ It again!! It's annoying as hell and I have reported these ppl b4. Obviously that didn't work! Feel for all of u and hope we don't have to change numbers because of some crackpot telemarketers pretending to be legal just to get your info. Beware & GL.

I have been called from this number at home and on my cell.  Today I called back to find out the name of the company.  A woman answered saying it was DCM Services a process server used to serve papers on parties who have been summons.  The gentleman that called before was portraying some sort of strong serious deep voice tone to ask if I knew anyone by the name of Ena or something like that.  When I said no he said he will file a fraud case against that person for falsifying documents with my number.

UGH   Who do I have to report this to?

They JUST said the same thing to me....idiots!

These people are scammers. Called my in laws and left a message stating there was a civil lawsuit against me and used my Maiden name that I have not used for about 8 years now.  Left a reference number and when I called back they tried to get me to vberify my SS and what not and I wouldn't do it then the guy asked what was my address so I could be served.  Told him if he was legit they would have it for one. Guy through a fit saying how they need to do their job and how I should have paid the person I owed money too (which is hilarious because I always pay my bills and have since I was 16 and have never once had a past due much less a no payment).  THen asked how he was able to get my inlaws number and he said I had signed a document using them as a reference (wrong again because I have never used family as references for anything I needed one for). Just remember people it's fauirly easy to get information including in laws, cousins, etc by using those background check sites.  If this number calls you, tell them to screw off and go hassle someone else.

And no one who works as a server will call you ahead and ask for your address, they will know it and show up without warning.

They've called twice in the last 4 minutes, though I do not answer unknown calls as it costs me money. I am debt free, and have been for ten years, so I'm wondering if it's tied to the Target Hacking of last year.

Here's the Scoop on these people  DS Services are frauds.  They buy very old debts for pennies on the dollar, then call you and all your relatives and say they are process servers and have papers to serve you with a law suit.  They do not have any "papers" nor are they suing you for anything.  They are frauds and should be reported to the Attorney Generals office in California.  They give you a "case file number" and refer you to "an attorneys office" 1-877-285-4796.  This "office" is actually a lot of people who answer their phones via their computer (there is no office).  The address for this business is
26405 Newport Road, Menifee, CA  92584, and the owners name is Brian Freeman.  Anyone who gets a telephone call should not give any information, however you should tell them you are on a recorded line.  (and record it if you can.)  Tell them that dunning someone for a timed out debt is against the law, and you have their information ( now you do! ) They are to end all calls to you and anyone of your friends or family, or you will report them and have them fined for $1000 per contact.  Tell them you have notified your friends and family of this and you will absolutely file charges against them.  If you are called by them, immediately contact the Attorney General's office in California and report this.  This is a fraudulent business, these people are scammers.  It is illegal to call someone or their family members by phone and dunn them for a debt that is older than 4 years old (in some states it's 7 years).  This is punishable by a fine of $1000 per contact!  
DS Services - the phone is registered to a "Mark Young" however I think DS Services and PCSI are one and the same.

This company are scammers. Do not give them any information.

They just called me asked if someone was going to be home to receive legal doctuments on a person I said I didn't know them and they hung up! 1st call ... If they keep calling what do I do?
