Date 9-20-2018...Here is the voice mail that was left on my phone: (female computer-generated voice) "This is an emergency call from Windows Microsoft. Your Windows license key has expired. All services have been suspended on your computer. To renew, call 1-883-226-6400." It repeated once more before ending. Totally stupid, because my computer is working just fine, as I am able to type this! Total scam call.

Same as previous caller, and we have no Microsoft products.  We no longer report these spam calls as nothing seems to change.  It is amazing and sad that so little is being done to stop this criminal activity.

It's a scam.  As previously reported...the recording began with "This is an emergency...Microsoft Windows...."  I hung up and then called the number.  A male who had a thick Spanish accent answered, "Hello," so I told him that it was a scam and why was he calling me.  He immediately disconnected my call.  Stupid predator criminal.  I've reported this type of call twice to the real Microsoft people and they have done nothing to go after the imposters.

I just got this call, didn't answer but let it go to voice mail.  They left the same message as noted previously.  I just renewed my Microsoft so I knew it was a scam.  I didn't call the number, but instead googled it and found these comments.  Thanks for that!

Number called me at 3:20pm 9/21/18 claimng to be MicroSoft, and that my computer license had expired. When I told them it was a Scam - They Hung Up!!  ((DO NOT ANSWER / SCAM CALL))

Same recording as the rest of you. What’s this license renewal business? Do you people with Windows actually have to keep paying Microsoft to use your own computer that had Windows on it when originally purchased? I’ve been on Mac about ten years.

I already replied to my own post to clear it up. Apparently, some moderator didn’t like what I wrote and it’s pending approval. No foul language or disparaging remarks, just what I looked up on the internet to answer my question. I wonder if this response is also too radical?

That Windows license DOES NOT expire.  Any calls that claim it does are CROOKS who want remote access to your computer - NEVER allow that.

We've been receiving this call also 833 226 5400, saying  emergency, all windows on Microsoft are suspended call now. We let answering machine answer. Very annoying.

DO NOT CALL BACK. BLOCK NUMBER (BUT they will probably call again and spoof a different number).  Microsoft would never even refer to itself as "Windows Microsoft" even if they did make these types of calls, which they don't!

Same as call above. Why can't Microsoft and the government find these scammers if they are leaving a number?

I got the same call message today 9/37/18..female voice
recording and to call 833 226 5400.

Same recorded message..I did not call them back..googled number and it is flagged as scam
