Its spam, a con.They called twice plus voicemail to look for. Jenny Smit..anyone,& threaten to call proper authorities..lol. Block this number asap!!!

Its sometimes a robocall..but they threaten to call" proper authorities" if YOU dont know the srangers whereabouts or help them supposedlyfind a fake stranger .Call the police or BLOCK them!

(833) 226-7974 has been repeatedly calling my job. I believe they are a scam because when I call them back the call doesn't go through. If anyone knows what type of phone service they have so that they can be bombarded with text messages and emails >>> *PLEASE LET US KNOW*<<<. I have searching for that information but nothing seems to come in my search. Let's all flood them with text messages or emails to the phone line.

833-226-7974 called and said someone filed a criminal complaint against my husband. If he doesn't respond they will "take the next step" with the authorities. I told them (woman with accent) they have the wrong person and they asked for the last 4 of his social security number- which I refused to give. I asked for the first three social security numbers of the person they are looking for as they are just as distinctive as the last 4. She refused to give. I used the first three numbers of my social security number and asked he if the first three she had on file were 254. She said no. Case closed. Husbands first three are the same as mine. She then said "it would be better if your husband calls us". I informed her he would not and this entire call was [***] and harassment. I asked to be removed from their call list and hung up on her.

Robo call  looking for information on a name I could not understand.  Threatened with authorities if I did not provide information.  No clue who the name was and personally could care less. Reading the above claims I can see it is a total fraud.  Call the number back and it tells me to dial my parties extension..... forever hold of course.  They are calling on my landline which I NEVER use and NEVER give out the number.  My own family doesn't even have that phone number.  Scam scam scam!

They have called my home, my other daughter's home and place of work looking for my other daughter.  It is always a digital message.  My husband answered today and could barely understand the person.  Told him she didn't live here and to remove our number.   This happens to my daughter about every 6 months!  I think if they don't collect from you they pass on  to another company.  Thing is, my daughter's debt was paid twice...but they continue to call.  Very frustrating for all involved as they are relentless!!

Received a call voicemail yesterday and today from 833-226-7974 (mans voice) saying someone has filed a formal complaint against me.  It was an automated like recording.

This is a robo spam call designed to steal your phone number and name. If you in fact call it back they have you pegged.
So let's say I used that to call all of you and then waited for each of you to call back and check on that.
Well the way Information hacking goes is now they have your Name and Phone Number.
From that they can pretty much access all your accounts and reset them.
Especially your bank.

Threatened to “notify the proper authorities” if I didn’t call back and tell them the whereabouts of someone I know. If it’s debt collectors, aren’t the proper authorities the credit bureaus?

Same number called my house phone today , I almost called it back but figured I  look online funny thing I have a private home number

Several calls that I did not answer. Finally called the number to ask them to remove my number. Was told by a woman with a foreign accent 'No, when you learn some manners.' My reply is not repeatable.

Here’s the message I keep getting; AND now he’s somejo found my daughter and started leaving threats with her too:

“Hello my name is Michael Carter I'm calling today and regards _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ that's been filed against Angelyn >€@¥$. if you have any information as to the whereabouts _⁠_ _⁠_⁠_ and _⁠_⁠_⁠_ _⁠_⁠_⁠_⁠_ please contact our office immediately at 332-2679 74 if you have that number is 833-226-7974 or next step will be notified the proper authorities thank you…”

Same as above left on VM. Same Micheal Carter but looking for a Richard P ----. Don't know anyone by the name and reporting to authority threat makes me wish they would. SCAM SCAM SCAM. Don't answer and for heavens sake DON"T CALL THEM BACK!!!!

Robo Call  Called my mom and myself and said it was Michael Carter calling with a formal complaint against me.  and to call the number immediately about my whereabouts.

they contacted my cell phone number with the robo call from Michael Carter calling with a formal complaint against me......and then they called my job.  My office is an office full of attorneys.  i don't think they will be trying that again.  It seems to me that these scams start up around the time and for a few months after tax season, because that is when i always start to receive them.  I actually told one that if they wanted me i will be waiting outside my house for them to come and get me.

Scam. Likely a debt collector service.
