Some more info.  I called the real CVS/Caremark and they said it could easily have been the branch that would call to inform me that I had been approved for the medication that had originally been denied.   They need to notify you and verify that it really is you getting the med (thus the pin).   But the woman said if you don't recognize the number you are never obliged to give a DOB.

Received a call from this number.  Recorded message from "CVS Caremark" said the call was for me... reciting my name...and if it was me on the line to say "yes" or "no".  I had just called them earlier in the day, so I said "yes" and then the recording - in a different recorded tone - said they were experiencing technical difficulties and hung up.  I hope I didn't just authorize someone to enroll me in something.  Guess I will be watching my phone bill now.

I called the number back and it asks for me to enter a 7-digit extension.

I just go that same call and ask was this (my name) I stated it and it said bad connection then hung up.

Fake CVS recording with pin numbers. Everybody wasn't born just yesterday and I know b.s. when I hear it. Don't press any numbers when they call. Just block, block, block then re-block. The devil is a lie.

Came up as potential spam, They left VM to call back the number that showed up on Caller ID, with a PIN to use. No way this is legit.

It's been about a year and a half since this number called with the same pretense about unspecified medications, using my full name.
Nothing became of my ignoring it last time.

It looks exactly like this caller is trying to influence a gullible person into giving away financial or identity information. I don't think the real CVS would do this.

Use some other way of getting your pharmacy info. This one is suspicious.

Left voicemail claiming there was a message for me with PIN. Called back and ai wanted me to answer yes or no. I pressed one and it wanted me to enter my DOB. I pressed 0 hoping for a representative, but it kept asking for my DOB. I disconnected and called the number on my CVS card. The representative I spoke to stated that they had no messages for me, so I’m sure this is a scam

This is a fully legitimate automated number for the CVS center that dispenses health insurance company prescription availability and eligiblity determination calls. I was only asked to confirm the name on file, birthdate, and authentication code, the latter which is similar to those generated by mobile apps, Google, and Microsoft to verify phone number. The information provided to me by this number was also accurate according to my health insurance (Molina) and CVS.

I received the call two days ago. Thinking that it was for my medication I inputted my birthday. Then after I did that, I realized that my prescription was sent to Walgreens.

This is a scam number. Claiming to be CVS with an automated teller. I called the number on the back of my CVS Caremark card and they said they didn’t have any messages for me or that number on file. Ignore and block this number

This number called me 3 times in one day. They left a message which just said, Is this Carol Xxxxx? After reading these other reports I will be blocking this number.

I did call back. This is a valid number and is CVS.
