This number called me yesterday, I do not answer calls from unknown callers!  If this is TELUS why does TELUS not show up in call display!  I have read in other forums that this is a SCAM number, others say it is legitimate.  If Telus wants to contact me they can do so by mail, they have my address!!  And where is this number calling from?

repeated call that I don't recognise

Pretending to be Telus asking about home services and said they’d transfer us over to another agent about mobile phone plans nobody picked up, looked it up and it’s not a registered Telus number or an internal one

This number calls me hundreds time without any answer, please stop it, it bothering us a lot

Indian (Cus what else would they be) scammers that call repeatedly and ask for your social insurance and credit card info. Block and report if they contact you.

This is CLEARLY a spam call because JMT " ...phoned TELUS about it and they have no connection to this number." You said " One person said that it was a satisfaction survey." Looks like the person who said it was a satisfaction survey might very likely be a member of the spam syndicate.

At the time that I made that post, based on the 13 posts that were posted, I made a statement that was 100% correct.  I made that statement based on the information that was provided.  Now, they might have hired a outside outfit to conduct the survey much like all corporations do for the simple reason that they are not set up to do customer satisfaction research.  So we really don't know what the call was about since it appears that none of the other 42 people who received calls, including you bothered to answer it which means that we only have one report to go on (unless I missed something else in the thread which is entirely possible).  How about you provide proof that this was not an actual survey?  For instance did you actually answer the call?  If so why did you not post the details?  Are you simply assuming that person is part of an alleged scam which we have no evidence of or are you simply here because you are a troll making a bait post because you are lonely and need some attention?

Same as previous reports - complete scam wanting SIN numbers and birth dates.

Indicated Telus on caller ID. Purported to be wanting to upgrade services etc. Some attempt to obtain info on services with Telus.

First they asked me if my name was Alex, and when I said no, they then proceeded to say "Hello Orion." freaked tf out

Maybe they have two customers with the same last name?   Call back gets "Thank you for calling "Telus.  This call will be recorded for quality and training purposes."  Goes on to give same information in French.  Spoke briefly with a representative who said customers might be called for a variety of reasons including service questions, payment questions, service upgrades, etc.  If you have Telus service call the published number to find out why they called you.  As BigA posted previously, there's no way to know for certain why they were calling unless you answer the phone.

I googled the number and found posts on Telus forums saying it's a scam.

Call went to answering machine but no message left. Caller ID says Telus but not from a Telus source.

They phoned me three times in under an hour, but I already knew from previous calls that they are just a scam.

Same as others... Same phone number, sometimes says 'toll free server' sonetimes says Telus. Have it blocked, but calls have increased from 1/day to every hr this aft.
Had this before, called Telus complained and had it stopped for a while, now it's back.

This is caller ID being faked to be Telus so be really careful as the party on the line may well be a scammer and not at the number displayed.
