    MEDIATION ACCOUNT CENTER

    Mark Daniels from MAC

Website says that they are in Florida:  https://mediationac.org/

The address is a virtual office, favorite of criminal organizations pretending to be debt collectors.

BBB gives them an F rating with 116 complaints and 14 negative reviews as of 2/4/2022:  https://www.bbb.org/us/fl/pembroke-pines/prof ... r-0633-90432086

BBB also lists a residential address for them:  9751 SW 12th St Pembroke Pines, FL 33025-3654  Which is registered to Thu & Tham Nguyen and may be a rental.

    https://www.google.com/maps/place/9751+SW+12t ... 4!4d-80.2748821

The Florida Dept. of State has no registration on file for either a corporation or a fictitious name.  This means that they are operating illegally.

The Florida Dept. of Financial Regulation has nothing on record for the business name or the name listed on the BBB as the manager.  This means that they are again operating illegally.

It is incumbent upon them under the law to prove that the debt exists and that you owe it, and (this is the important part) that they have the legal right to collect it.  You are not obligated under the law to prove that you don’t owe or that it is paid.

Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) postmarked within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt. It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days of receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.  If and when you get that letter you should immediately send that debt validation letter by certified, return receipt mail.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Also file complaints with the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1

Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

These people had a non-working number call me from 615-913-8092 stating that they were an officer out to deliver me some documents to go to court.. And when I told the woman I had no clue of any of this or what it was even about, she told me that if I wasn't aware of her coming that she could give me a number to call and call her back in 15mins to let her know what was going on.. The number she gave me was 833-734-2881.. So I called and set up $50 payments and after the woman processed a $40 payment we ended the call and then I tried to call the office back and got a pre-recorded message telling me that this 615-913-8092 was not a working number... So my next question is; How the [***] do you call someone from a number that is not working???? I feel as though they called me lying to me saying they were coming to serve me papers, just so I would give them my card information... So I called my bank to inform them of the situation and had that card cancelled and had a new one given to me... Please people beware of scammers, for they are ever so real...I know the last 3 digits are different from the number I was given bit they said their name was Enterprise Mediation Center, and I see that this also is a mediation center with all the same number except the last 3 numbers...

A recording saying they have papers to deliver to my job or home and I should provide identification.  The lady said her name was Jamie hall and I could call her back at that number. It’s a scam. I don’t owe any bills and have an excellent credit rating. I’m also on the Do Not Call list so I am going to report them

As you perfectly well know the DNC list has nothing to do with this type of phone call.  That was very clearly explained to you when you signed up.

I keep getting the same calls and text messages. They stated in the debt that this is  their Final attempt. I asked them to send me the documentation in the mail with the proof of the debt and their full address and the amount. The guy said his name was Joseph Lopez. I knew this wasn’t true because yesterday he told me his name was Thomas green. I did fall for the first call but called my bank and they immediately shut them down and refunded my $245. Please beware. I will never let that happen again

Same thing happened to me. My bank investigated and gave me refunded me. They then tried to call me from the same place with same number and told me it wasn’t the same place. I called them on their scam and the woman Christina got quiet. I hung up. The next day I received another call and this time I told the guy “Joseph Lopez “ aka Thomas Green about himself. He tried to argue but I hung up. I’ve blocked them since but I still get calls from them.  I don’t answer.
