- Agent M| 1 replyThis seems to be the legit fraud alert service that my bank uses. They called me immediately after I charged something with my debit card online. I called back. The automated message correctly said the name of my bank and told me the last 4 digits of my debit card. Then read off the last 3 charges I had made using my debit card and asked me to verify each one by pressing "1" for yes and "2" for no. They were all charges I had made. After verifying, they removed the temporary hold from my card. It is a protection service that notifies me if unusual activity is noticed on my debit card. They place a hold on your card to limit any theft attempts, until you call back to verify that you made the charges.

- BigA replies to Agent MThank you for confirming that calls from this number are a scam and that you are one of the dirty, filthy, lying scammers.
- KellyThis number called me about a fraud alert on my back card. Not sure if it was spam I checked my bank account saw nothing wrong. I called my bank to double check, and they stated it was in fact their fraud department. She stated the charges were denied because they put in the wrong expiration date. If you get call from this number I would call your bank to make sure.

- JohnHave had this problem with my credit union. Part of the issue is the message starts when your VM message picks up, so you get the last sentence of their message.
I would assume that the scam callers are spoofing the legitimate service #, which appears to be used by multiple banks and credit unions.
BigA - Just call your bank back at their local number and chill.- Caller: Credit Union

- CindyGot a vm from this number on my landline, at 7:30 pm today, and just played it back. The last four of the debit card was garbled, either 1730 or 4730?? Which is not even close to what my number is...they said they were from Bankfirst debit card fraud dept., which we don't bank there. .then said to call green bay tri-hold toll free at 833-735-1894 and give case number 60220685449. I am notifying my bank tomorrow of this scam. Caller ID says Not Provided.

- TomI just got a voicemail and text from this number 833 735 1894 They appear to have accurate information about my bank as well as a recent PayPal international automatic payment they say has been flagged as suspicious. Obviously they also have my phone#. So if not legit, very worrisome. My online banking shows nothing. My bank is just across the street. Last time something like this happened money started disappearing from my temporary Walmart prepaid debit card, no big deal, but in this case it is my local bank where my SS checks are deposited. By "they" I mean whom or whatever at that # managed to get so much info on a transaction that hasn't gone through, including the last 4 digits on my debit card. I'll be calling my bank now from the legitimate local number to see what they say, or know or can find out about this.

- Ron replies to Shannon ChurchwellTwo years later, same here. I used a seldom used credit card this morning two make a large single purchase. I had to make that same purchase a 2nd time without cancelling the original order. That order was rejected by the retailer on the website said that my car was no good. About an hour later I received a call from this 833 number followed by another one about two hours later. So whoever is calling from that number knows about this activity, it appears.
I'm just going to call my bank and get it straightened out. - KaylaI just recieved a call from this number, twice.
Earlier I recieved a text from 833-735-1892, which texted me a few weeks ago and asked if I made a purchase at SUPER SUPER for $15.00
I honestly don't remember making that purchase, so I said no and that number replied with "Rogue Credit Union: You've indicated an unauthorized transaction. A temporary hold may have been placed on your card. Pls call immediately 1-833-735-1892." I called the number, and I told the lady who answered that I mistakenly said no (I was conpletely brok and could not go without the $30 in my account at that time.) She told me that she's going to ask me about 3 purchases and to verify whether I made them or not. They were accurate besides the super super. She lifted the hold on my card.
Everything was fine until that same number texted me earlier and said:
Rogue Credit Union Fraud Alert: Did you attempt transaction on debit card ending 7673 at DD DOORDASH KUA for $120.04? Reply YES or NO.
And then this 1894 has called me twice.
I'm honestly nervous. I read that multiple credit unions use the same 1894 and 1892 numbers for their fraud department (unsure of why they use two simultaneously) but yeah..
Im on the fence of whether or not its a scam because the first text from them was in March verifying whether or not I made a purchase to resume genius.- Call type: Scam suspicion
