Keep calling I will not answer because dont recognize

They say they are from the State of Texas “stay at home” department, but when you call back they just answer “Hello” I called back four times and got the same “greeting“ each time, extremely rude!

I have verified that this is the texas department of state health services and they are contact tracing for the coronavirus.

Said she was contact tracing but couldn’t provide me any details. So I refused to provide her any of my personal info as well. I asked what my next steps would be and she said refused. Very strange!

This is Tx DSHS contact tracing. It is legit. They will ask for DOB but no other verifying info or Financial info.

Spoke with an erin.  Said she was with tx dept of state human services.  Ask for dob and first/last name.  She then asked if i had taken covid test, but she also stated she had results of my covid19 testing.  I then became suspicious of her because why would you ask if i had taken test but you also had the results.  She would not tell me where she was located, stated working remote.  I asked for supervisor information, wouldn't provide.  I told her

We just received a call from Anna, She just stated that she worked for TDHS. She did not want to give us any more identification. For what I know Official employees have to Identify them selves.  She started asking for personal inf. We refused the call.

Got a call this morning, said she was from Tx health dept (caller ID also read tx health dept), and told her to call back after 3. We shall see

They are scammers , and extremely rude.
And they think I would fall for it

Department of state health services wanting to ask some questions

A lady left a message in our answering machine indicating that she's from Texas Health Department. The message was very unclear, but the caller ID showed 8337530909. Texas Health Trace does not have this number, nor does Texas State of Health Services. Could someone who's sure this number is legit please let me know where I can find it on the official TX government website? Thank you.

This is a total scam. They said I had been exposed to someone with COVID. Asked for my DOB and street address. When I asked them to provide info on who I had been exposed to or when, they refused to tell me and said they needed my information first. I refused and they said it was unfortunate and hung up.

This may be the # on DSHS's official website but that doesn't mean all calls from it are from them. Or have you somehow never heard of phone number spoofing? By the way, do you often look up known phone numbers?
