- The SecretaryThis was the 'call for more information' number given on an automated call message for financial assistance from the government. Michigan phone number on the caller ID, which was probably spoofed so I won't put it here.

- Cornelia replies to Cameron| 3 repliesI want this to STOP as well. I have had up to 8 calls a day and it's very maddening because I need to answer calls from my doctors. SOMEBODY do something PLEASE! Whom do we report this to???
- Cornelia replies to CorneliaPrevious message correction....up to 80 calls a day!!!!
- Danielle replies to Cornelia| 1 replyYes! They call me non stop with different offers and it’s been going on for two months. Now it flips between a free cruise that I just have to pay a $98 port fee which is new. I usually get the typical government grant anywhere between $6400 up to $32000. They call from all over the country but always leave 833-867-3774 as the call back number. I have tried calling that number so many times and it has always gone right to voicemail saying, our agents are on the phone or away from their desks please call back and it hangs up. Yet on the voicemails I get I am told to call this 833 number and press 2 to have my name removed from the list
I have chronic illness and need my phone for doctors to call. I am also my father’s medical POA and handle all of his doctors calls and pharmacy. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry and I just changed my number in December because of this and it is such a hassle. I don’t know what to do. - Nimrod replies to DanielleThey have called you and presented you with two obvious scams and you still tried to call them back hoping to get them to stop? 833 numbers are toll-free numbers, so even if you block your Caller ID, they still know the number you called from, and they know you are the type of person who will respond to such calls, so expect more from this and other numbers. Even if you were to get past the voicemail and press "2" it would not change anything; they are scammers (the scum of the earth) and they do not care if you do not want to be called. They also do not care about the Do Not Call Registry. All they care about is parting you from your money and putting it in their pockets.
You can report them at https://reportfraud.ftc.gov/ but you will not see any swift action (that is the Government after all).
You should block the number(s) that they call from.
Most mobile phones have a way to block phone calls built in (usually sending the call to voicemail without ringing the phone and then you can delete any message they may leave when it is convenient for you), and instructions to do it can be easily found online or at your mobile service provider's store.
If you are using a landline phone, call blocking devices are inexpensive, easy to set up and many will not even allow you phone to ring for a blocked call (some will allow one ring before blocking). If your phone set is getting a bit old and you want to upgrade, there are cordless phone sets that have call blocking built in and will allow for several handsets (usually up to 5) so you can have one handy in each of several rooms.
Do note that there is no means of blocking the callers from making calls to your number, all that can be done with current technology is to stop their calls from ringing your phone. - DONESCAMMER MAKING DEATH THREATS
