A recording from this number calls & leaves messages with no live person available to talk to, nor can anyone leave a message...very aggravating & unprofessional indeed.  Has to be a scam for sure.

The number is from a group that was apart of the Yahoo breach or hack that happened 3 or 4 years ago. If you had a Yahoo account or still do delete it. They are still reading your emails. Even though Yahoo claims they have fixed the breach.
These people (group) is also affiliated with the 706-351-0080
All you have to do is when they call is threatened them back with legal action and it stop them calling. It only works with a live person though.
If you call the number press * several times and someone will answer the phone.

My wife got a call looking for her with her maiden name (married 8 1/2 years). Then I got a call followed by my mother, grandmother, mother in law and two sisters.  Automated message leaving number, my wife called back and asked a few questions. After asking a few questions and not confirming that she was the person that they were looking for the lady got snappy and eventually hung up. Tired of this crap. How can someone file a complaint or lawsuit against them?  There is a legitimate company with a disclaimer at the bottom of their home page saying that they are not affiliated with the fraudulent “company” using their name. I emailed them for anymore information that they may have as they stated in the disclaimer.

This is a scam.  Only public prosecutors press "charges".  Being in ordinary civil debt is NOT a crime and you cannot be arrested for it.
    _____________________
Just because someone on the phone calling you says you owe a debt does not mean you actually owe it.

If a voice on the telephone claims you owe a debt:

    1.    Demand the person give you his or her name, company name, and address
    2.     Demand a debt validation letter by US mail.  E-mail no good.
    3.    Do not pay  the collection agent or anyone else a  dime until the debt is validated

Of course they won’t do this, no scammer ever will, so simply ignore them and block their calls.

If they are bothering you, report them:

http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection (Threatening civil proceedings with no intent to follow through, or threatening criminal process in order to collect a civil debt is a  violation of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.)  The same goes for endless telephone harassment

Note that the US Supreme Court in the Case of HENSON ET AL. v. SANTANDER CONSUMER USA INC., has recently ruled that the provisions of the Federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act do not apply if the creditor owns the debt in question.  As a practical matter this probably won't effect the kinds of scam debt collectors who often show up on 800notes.  The scam collectors don't give you any information about themselves so it is impossible to know whether or not they in fact "own" the debt in question.  Most do not send debt validation letters and many often say they are collecting for someone else.  So, make the complaint anyway if they are bothering you.  Let the FTC sort it out.

Also contact your local attorney general

If they continue to bother you,  and you know you do not owe any money, tell them that you know this is  a debt scam and that you are making a complaint to the police for extortion.  Once you get a copy of the police report and they call you again , just read out the  file number and the name of the PD or Sheriff’s office involved.   Tell them you’ll be glad to send a copy to them at whatever address the jack***es are working out of now.

You'll probably have to yell at them and talk over them.  Tell 'em  no scammy debt collector is going to push you around.

You have to get tuff with these people because,  being akin to thugs, brute force is (metaphorically speaking).   the only thing they understand.

I got similar message today but I also got a message from the same guy but different name on December 1st 2017.
His first name was Johnathan Davis now it is Jerry Lewis. What next Mickey mouse??
843-534-5756 is also affiliated with 706-341-0080 same person but different names.
I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission this morning under identity theft because that is what they are trying to do with me. They keep asking for personal information. Which they think I will willingly give because of threats. Think again!

Let them know by letting your phone ring, instead, with no kind of answer if you can. You won't hear who's next if you're blocking or letting your phone ring. No kind of answer eventually gets pests disgusted enough they might quit bothering you.~I Was Prepared~JustinCase

Answered phone to hear a recording saying they were trying to find my sister (using her 10 year gone surname) and a formal complaint had been filed against her. I called back after the second day and talked to a lady with hard to understand accent. Was given the same information as other callers above. Suuuuuuper fake. Should put the number on Reddit to screw them over.

Calling my daughter harassing her with the same message that they are trying to locate me and for her to call them and tell them my whereabouts so they can send the authorities. I told her to block them, and she will most likely have to do it several times as these scammers tend to have several phone numbers they call from. I had to remind her that no legitimate company uses these tactics to collect on a debt because its against the law to make these kinds of treats. I get these same calls every so often, they are annoying but they will stop after a while if you just ignore them and keep blocking the numbers. Besides if I legitimately owe a company money they already have my address and don't need someone to help locate me. Can't stand these scammers..... Scary to think that there are people that will fall for this.
