I have received 2 calls from John Lewis regarding a formal complaint filed against my step mother. Total scam!!! I did call back and it went straight to voicemail. These people need to be stopped.

A robo call looking for a Sandra Picarillo and the next step is to get the local authorities,i know its some type of scam.has anyone else get asked about that name?

Wouldn't matter, this a known extortion scam from a known extortionist.

One of the tricks they use is to call your family, friends, neighbors and/or places of employment (past or present or both) to create panic and embarrassment so that their intended victim calls them and they can scare that person into paying their extortion money.  They often call people that have never even been associated with you because they get erroneous information off of the internet.

First, you should make a complaint at this Federal Agency, and while there you should also read up on how debt collection is supposed to work as well as what your rights in this matter are: https://www.consumerfinance.gov/

Todd Lewis called regarding a person I do not know.  Keeps calling my cell saying it is extremely urgent that I call them.  Scam and very upsetting to keep receiving this call.  Definitely a fraud caller.  Will not return the call!

I received 2 calls the past two days and left a BK containing no message. I knew it was a scam especially there is no company like this in Charleston, SC. I also have 845 credit score with no delinquency. Scammers!!!!!

Don't give info to these scammers. If it's a real debt, ask them to send you a debt validation letter in the mail. If they refuse, then it's not real. Tell them to [***]. If you call them back and tell them you are calling the Attorney General of your state, they will remove your number and not call again.

You expect a THIEF to remove your number just because you asked nicely????

This robo call contacts me every day with the same nonsense of a formal complaint, if I don't respond the next step is contacting the authorities, well how long does that take because they have been calling for 3 weeks now.  I have no intentions on following up with these scammers. I had enough they even called my husbands cell phone. The authorities need to lock them up for harassing people!

Called 6 times this week asking for someone who does not live here, and I do not know.  Threats next step "to notify proper authorities".

called place of business looking for some unknown person to our company. Threatened to contact police if we did not call. Called to ask them to remove our business from their list, they hung up on me. When I called back it went to vm then said there was a connection error and disconnected me again

Received a call saying a formal complaint was filed against my fiance and that we had to call back or they would 'notify' the proper authorities! It smelled like BS from the start!!! They did not specify what company they were calling from.

I received a call from a John Lewis saying that a complaint was filed against me and if I do not return their call further actions will be taking against me.  I called them to see what the name of the company was so that I can give the information to my lawyer and they hung up on me. They continued to call my cell phone from a 240.219.0037 until I blocked them and then they began to call my job asking to speak with my boss and that I did not file my taxes and when I do they will be taking all of it. Be careful of these people.
