- Sammy Fauxe| 4 repliesi recieved a call from this company Bronstein and Vaughn. They helped me with a pending law suit and settling my case with them before it got outta hand. Very professional. Thank you again
- CWG40 replies to Sammy Fauxe| 1 replyYeah, but there's no record of any company called Bronstein and Vaughn, except for a facebook entry that tells you nothing.
They claim to be an arbitration firm, but that's just scammer code for debt collector. If this is such a a great company, why don't you give us the address. I understand they are supposed to be located in Buffalo New York. Which, by the way is the home of many, many kitchen-table debt scammers.
So. How about it? Address of these jerks? - shellythey just called me at work- big time SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

- Marc| 1 replyTracey White from Bronstein and Vaughn has called me three days in a row looking for someone I don't know. This is a scam call. When I threatened to contact the FCC she hung up.
- Caller: Bronstein and Vaughn
- Gabe replies to MarcHa. I just got the exact same call. Gotta be a scam. I deleted
- Scam| 1 replyThey sent a verification form to my kob
- Caller: Tracy white
- Slim replies to ScamWhat is a "kob"?
If this has something to do with a supposedly unpaid loan,
A phone call or email from a supposed debt collector is not legally sufficient evidence of debt.
Let us know what is a "kob", and somebody will tell you if that was a legally acceptable notice.
The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) includes statements such as this:
* Every collector must send you a written “validation notice” telling you how much money you owe within five days after they first contact you. This notice also must include the name of the creditor to whom you owe the money, and how to proceed if you don’t think you owe the money. ["Written" means snailmailed ... not emailed or texted]
Source:
https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection
Therefore, if that caller wants you to pay immediately, before you get the written validation notice via snailmail, or if the caller wants payment via green dot, Western Union, or other untraceable means, then the call is definitely not legitimate.
IF you wish to communicate with the supposed collector / creditor, visit the following page, for example "Action Letters" to snailmail:
http://www.consumerfinance.gov/blog/debtcollection/
If you KNOW you owe no money, or believe the call was from a fake debt collector, please take the time to read this:
http://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0258-fake-debt-collectors - NJ| 3 repliesYes it is a scam-DON'T GIVE ANY INFO! "Susan Brown" left message that "evidence against me has been substantiated" in a case filed in an [inaudible] county. I called back and asked which county, she wouldn't tell me-just kept asking me to verify last four digits of my SSN. Transferred me to "Brian Collins, Senior Litigator," who also wouldn't give me the county name and tried bullying me into giving last four of SSN ("Guess you're just gonna have to wait for the sheriff to show up at your door..."). He also gave me a bar # for an attorney not named Brian Collins, so he's clearly not a real lawyer.
- Caller: "Bronstein & Vaughn"
- NJ replies to CWG40You're right-Sammy Fauxe and anyone else who claims to have been helped by Bronstein & Vaughn is just one of the scammers.
- Austin JacksonHelped me get all my debt settled through a litigation, talked to my attorney and showed him my verification of debt uplifted and he said everything was legit. Good people who do good business.

- KirstanLisa Reeves called and left a message stating she was from Bronstein & Vaughn, and a claim has been filed against me and there is substantial evidence against me, from an investigation and legal background that has been conducted. Their legal office is handling the case. And she would tell me about the state law but she wasn’t going into it, but anyway the law states I have 72 hours to call the ligations department at 844-245-8881 ext. 423 to discuss the matter because it is being filed.
Stupid I am not, I have blocked this number and filed a complaint with privacy star.
If it was legitimate then something would have been sent by mail. I have received NOTHING. Hate scam artist companies.- Caller: Bronstein & Vaughn

- loo| 1 replyI just received a call as well stating I had a case in the office against me and I had 72 hours to contact them about it. They left a number and extension and advised I need to call before further action was taken.. I had a felling it was a scam seeing I have never received anything in the mail. I did this before with another company and gave them money scared and paid it off, just a few months later another company called stating I owed money for the same thing I paid off. Where is the letter in the mail if it was something real?

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. - jamieCompany called my cell phone and left the same message everyone seems to be getting. They also left that message on my mother's cell phone as well. This company seems to call me every 5 months. And they won't give me any paperwork. Just threaten me that I am going to be arrested. Scam company.

- CCClaims to have several pending charges to file against me with the Harris County Sheriff's Dept. I know this has to be bogus but I figure mistakes happen all the time. However, I was very unsettled and disturbed by the voice mail left for me so I went downtown to all civil courts and criminal courts in Harris County to wit neither of their departments know nothing about this. This is a very nasty game to pull on even your worst enemy.

- RichI just got another call B&V this time they got more demanding and wanted me to fax over bank statements for for the months in question. Question ?????? I thought they had all the info. I told her my attorney told not to. Then she wanted my attorney's phone number so she could call them and told no that they would call her. She got huffy and mutter some words and hung up. Called the number back and tried an extension number and it didn't work, so tried a bunch extension numbers and not one worked. They all take you to 0.
