- Deborah SimsReceived a call from a Rhonda Boden with Locator Services and she advised me I had a fraudulent activity case filed against me with a company whose phone number was 844-246-1914 she was calling from 907-312-5603 so I called the 844 number and got a voice mail. Then I call the 312 number and received the same voice mail. I finally made contact with a representative at the 844 number and was told I had gotten a pay day loan back in August 24, 2010 deposited to my credit union account. When I got a copy of my bank statement there was no such deposit made to my account. These people are scammers and need to be reported to the FBI and your local police department or attorney general.

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans
Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010 FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691
The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.
According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.
The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers.- Caller: Informational Post

- CWG40ID themselves as "Western LLC" supposedly a "litigation firm". Right. Just another fly-by-night debt collector.
- KarenI received a phone call from 562-247-5595 a Mrs. Bowman informing me that papers were being processed through Los Angeles county. That they were confirming my address at work and home and would be served at one of these places. She said that after I received these that I should contact 844-246-1914x308. She even said "Good Luck going forward" I have NO outstanding loans from any pay-day advance and never have. I got a call similar to this a couple of years ago, telling me that Wells Fargo had repaid a paid day loan for me and they were collecting from that. Common sense: Why would Wells Fargo repay a payday loan for anyone? In California, the length of a debt expires 4 years. However if you send any money or acknowledge the debt then it becomes due and payable. These scammers buy these old debts and then try to collect on them in addition to whatever other kind of scams they can.
- Employee of CompanyMessage left at 6:04 am on my work voice mail from 907-312-5603, a local Alaskan phone number. The message was from an agressively fast talking woman stating she was has to file paperwork re: a complaint against (she said the name, I'm only including the initials of the person here: D.R.) with our HR department but message was strongly worded that D.R. contact her immediately to avoid this and left the phone number 855-747-8023 x315. Knowing calling a place of employment at 6 am, making it clear there is legal action and that our HR department would be involved, tax levy? and using a false phone number to place the call. Wow.
