They were saying we owed past income tax and that a collector would be coming by to collect what we ow. When I called them back because they had left a message the guy wanted my full name and my phone number and my cell number. When I started asking questions then he hung up on me.

Call from "CRA" concerning unpaid taxes. Scam. Reported it to local police.

Similar call just now. Voicemail message said "due to inability to settle debts with CRA" a lien would be placed on my bank account, assets  etc and left this number to call back on. Caller id said it was an international call. . Clearly yet another scam (posing as Canadian Revenue Agency?)and I have no intention of calling back. Will however report to CRTC whose job it is to investigate fraud calls

Had the same thing just happen!  SCAM!

they called twice today left a message twice  it's likely a scam...  the CRTC would mail you warnings first including penalties for unpaid TAXs and as a last resort would place a lien...  they not in hurry you not going anywhere ;)

I had the same thing happen to me he said his name was Michael Brown about my taxes. Thanks for the information. I didn't even bother calling them back.

Received call today stating that they were from Canada Revenue agency claiming that after an audit, allegations that taxes had not been paid. Guy called himself "Donald Lloyd" (with an Indian/Pakistani accent). He was aggressive and threatning when I pushed for more info.  at which point he hung up. Thankfully I never disclosed any person/confidential information. SCAM ALL THE WAY.  Will be reporting it.

Please forgive these Indian- Pakistani scammers, as they have less intelligence than the humped beasts that they ride.

They left the call back #.  I did try to call but it just rang 'busy'.  I'm ignoring this.  If there really was a problem with CRA I'm sure I'd get paper-mail, email, and a msg from a live person. Am reporting to CRTC as well.

Scum of the earth. Left voicemail and naturally called them back. "Donald Lloyd" threatened legal action, cited lien against house vehicle repo and prison terms for back taxes from 2012. Stated citizen in good standing and therefore one-time offer to pay $2300.00 via Western Union … Nice try. Local authorities advised, CRTC engaged.

Just received a call from 844-258-4032, a robotic message threatening to put liens on my bank accounts and homes if I did not settle my debt with the CRA. I called this number back 2 times only to be called a [***] because I said I did not believe this was CRA. I asked his name he said Mike Jones. I asked who his supervisor was and he said Kelly Johnston. He wanted my name, and other personal information. I said I would not give it to him he called me a [***]. I asked to speak with his supervisor and he pretended to transfer me, and then hung up. Do not give these people any information, this is not how Revenue Canada operates.

Robocall from 894-258-4032, Auto answered then some odd clicking, press 1 to speak to person and then disconnected. Called back, more odd clicking as I was transfered thru some type of automation. The a guy with a very heavy accent answered. Asked my name and the number I was calling from. I asked for his name first and he wouldn't give it to me. Hung up on him then googled this number. Scammers...

Same scam call today. All the same threats. I called back the number after a long conversation with A guy he called himself Rodger Clark. Talk to different guy. He gave me a different amount I owed. Waiting for a call back to tell me where to send money. Can't wait.

Got the same call called them for two hours steady to keep there line busy there about 3 to 4 guys all the time I had them so pissed off at me they kept blocking my phone calls so I then started to call via private number and literally messed with them it was actually fun to hear them go on and telling me to F off and to stop calling it was funny also did report them to local police just keep calling them eventually they will get the point

Got 4 calls in total from this number today. First call I answered and got message I owed money and because I was unable to pay they would be putting a lien on my assets plus sending a collector to my door. I called back saying this was a scam call he wanted my phone number, I said you have it he then proceeded to say I had a sexy voice.told him I was reporting to the police. He said not to I was misunderstanding. I hung up. Half hour later another call I did not answer let answering machine take. Then I got another listened a bit then hung up. Got another, called back same guy, he wanted my phone number again I said if you are the CRA then you know my number, he said he didn't have that technology, what age are you, I said what do you need that for, so he could know he talking to but then he said I have your paper work, so I said then you know who you are talking to. That when he asked me how much he would have to pay to come to my house and my bedroom. I said this is a scam call the Canadian Government would not allow this, he asked what he had done wrong, I said you just asked me how much you could pay me to come to my house and my bedroom. I then told he was a pervert and he was getting off on this call and I was recording and calling the police. I stopped talking kept recording, that when he said he wanted to F me.

Police are warning public about this scam.

The fellow that phoned me had no accent.

Picked up a voice mail with a caller claiming to be Jonathon Knight from CRA Investigations saying that I was under Federal Investigation for import tax issues. Thing is I run a small business that does import product from central America so I was actually quite shaken by the call. A subsequent voice mail indicated that because I had not responded my bank accounts and assets would be seized.  Again, because I import (legitmate!!) product from an area that is right along the drug corridor  - it shook me up - immediately thinking the worst.  It was only after getting myself together that I searched the phone # 844-258-4032 and saw that it was a scam.  Thank you for the posts - saved me at least a night or two sleep!!!!

Call from this number.  Did not pick up.  Left a message indicating it was CRA and going to put lien on house etc.  Second call in an hour.  As other callers have stated this is a scam.  Do not call back.
