Usually when I answer calls from this number no one is there, but I learned you have to wait like 15 seconds before someone pops on the line. This lady immediately routes off this scripted message "As a reminder all calls may be recorded or monitored....is XXX there?"  Wrong number.  Never introduced themselves or where they were calling from

They have blown me up for the last 2 weeks non stop.  I called the number today and they answer as Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC, located in Saint Cloud, MN.  They have a webpage https://www.myjcap.com/.  They had another name with my number so it was an understandable mix up.  They had a female associated with my number, so I'm guessing when I answer and they hear a mans voice that is why they immediately hang up???  I'm not sure but it is not good buisness.  They have a B rating with the BBB and have had 1205 complaints.  They specialize in Charged Off Accounts.   For those who may not know what that means I will give an example......................Say I owe person A.  $500 dollars.  Person A has tried to collect that $500 dollars from me for a few years unsuccessfully, they give up and write me off as a loss on their taxes.  So Jefferson Capital goes to person A and says "hey I will give you $200 dollars for that $500 in debt"  Person A has already written it off so ofcourse they will take the offer.   So Jefferson Capital in turn adds that $200 dollars that they paid for your $500 in debt to person A and then reports to the credit agencies that you owe then $700 dollars!!!!!  Depending on how old your debt is, ask Jefferson Capitol to provide you with the original contract that you signed to obtain said debt.............................chances are the can not produce this document and will have to remove it from your credit report.

went straight to hold and then when I got over to a person they asked to speak to a person who is not at this business. (very small office same two employees for 4 years) and when I politely said no one was at this BUSINESS by that name she got very rude said ok and hung up on me

I received 9 calls from this number. I asked to be removed from their list then blocked the number

This number calls and they want to put you on hold. Nope dont have time. They call so much and besides the fact the person they ask for doesn't live here.

After my usual business greeting, caller hung up.

Got a call from this number on my state phone. No answer so I hung up right away.

Harrassment

Called my home phone, several times this week alone!!! Getting tired of your nuisance calls! You need to stop even told to stop!!! Its a crime for solicitors and telemarketers to keep harassing people when told to stop calling!

Calling multiple times every day, never leaving a message

This is terrible!!! Some kind of marketing scam!! They call multiple times a day, starting at 7:30am and calling up until 9:30pm.  They have been calling for weeks on end.  I have answered several times and told them I'm NOT interested, do not call, put me on your DO NOT CALL LIST, ignored 100's of calls, nothing seems to work.  I am going to report this # for harassment.

Keeps calling business asking for employee who I know had a lawyer take care of this many years ago. I have told them I will have to take a message. They are insistent that they talk to the person. Not happening. Sometimes they call with a recorded message asking ME to hold until they are available to talk. That’s when I go into beast mode. I have told them not to call multiple times.
