This is a scam. Velocity has a post on their web site. Don't call back. If they notify you they only use their published phone number.

Received a text message today saying that my debit card at Velocity Cred Union was locked.  I don't have a debit card with VCU.  Called and got a recording.  Press 1 to unlock and 2 to leave.  I pressed 2 and hung up.

I got the same, did not put in my cc no.

I received a text @ 5:11 p.m. today.  Velo-city C.U. Alert for my phone number.  Contact 844/402-2726.  I've never had an account with VCCU.

Please note that the originating number varies: mine was 855-219-5376; NBC # was 855-218-9844 but the messages were identical. As you see in the video linked, this scam is getting a lot of attention. I provided this info to my carrier then blocked the number.

I got the same text yesterday. I am an employee with the city of austin.

Wonder how many of us got the same text

I have gotten 2 text messages from this number and I do not have an account with Velocity.  I have not responded to either one.
