Receiving calls saying they are the IRS and see it is a scam as IRS will never call

Same thing about an hour ago.  Filed a complaint with TIGTA,  the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.  Also I call their number (blocked my call with *67) and was told all lines were busy and they could not  take my call.

People claiming to be IRS.

"Hello this call is officially a final notice from IRS Internal Revenue Service. The reason of this call is to inform you that IRS is filling lawsuit on your name because you had tried to do a fraud with the IRS Internal Revenue Service. And we are taking legal action and we are issuing an arrest warrant on your name to get more information regarding this case file. Just call us back on our department number 844-406-9362. I will repeat it 844-406-9362. Thank you." I told him he should talk to my wife & issue the warrant on my wife.

Yes.  IRS will Never call you or email you unless you ask them to.

Got the same message from the same number today. This is criminal call and should be investigated by the authorities. IRS will only notify you in writing.

Got 2 "Final Notices"! Sad that this happens to people that are unaware of this is Fake. Especially the elderly!

Yesterday I had 2 calls with the same message from 585-250-1552 and caller ID was New York Call.Todays ID said Toll Free Call

They get away with it because some people fall for it. It's obvious it's a scam to all of us who take the time to google the phone number...it's the 1:1,000 who don't check the facts that end up giving money to these "fine" folks.

I got the same exact call word for word just like you Evelyn and the lady insisted it was an IRS call gave me badge number and all. Thanks for the info and heads up. Have a nice day.
