I got a text from this number saying my Costco order has been shipped. I didn’t order anything.

Must have been an error on their part, this number is actually Costco.

It is a scam. They want you to click on the link to get your information.

I received the same text from 844-421-1229 saying my Costco shipment is on the way but I didn't order anything. I deleted the text and checked my Visa and Costco accounts to confirm any suspicious activity. All was good so this a scam text phishing for info.

I got it as well. Twice once morning and once in the evening yesterday so far.  Initially I thought maybe real but a wrong number, but after seeing the other posts here, not that many people get their number incorrect.

I just received the same text as well.  Not a Costco member.

Received a text message that a package was delivered dated two weeks prior and not to my location.

Text telling me my Costco order is to be delivered.

I had the same thing happened this morning. Super creepy because it was literally minutes after my wife had texted me to go get something at Costco so I almost clicked on the link. Criminals suck

Didn't order anything from Costco and am not a member, received a text saying "Great News! Your Costco shipment is on its way" followed by a Fedex tracking link beginning with freighttracking.costo.com. SCAM.

Got a text saying shipment is on the way, but didn't order anything from Costco.  This is a scam don't click on link they just want your info.

This is a scam. I'm a Costco member and have ordered from them. They do not send shipping updates like this.

have never ordered from costco nor have a membership, prob scam.

Recieved the same text. Looked up the ups tracking number on UPS site and it said a label had been printed and it is coming to my zip code. I did not click on the link.  Probably a scam

Got a similar message but my message says I have an shipment from UPS. Have not ordered anything recently. Generally don’t order online because of this reason. (hackers)

Definitely a scam call!!

These are not "hackers".  They simply send thousands of texts and emails out in the hopes that someone will bite.  Also, you do not need to buy online for actual hackers to get your information.

Got the same message as you did with the same date. Don't click on the link.
