Me two, two days in the road a total of 3 messages.

Same issue as others. I have clicked on the confirmation quick to me to other links. Got 2 or 3 setup before I realized it was a scam. My question is what info did they get by me directing these links?

By clicking the links, you were redirected to multiple sites that are tracking links. These tracking links collect data about your phone (phone number, IP, location, browser type, operating system, etc), what links you clicked on and anything you input on the websites you wound up on. If you gave any personal info about yourself or banking, credit card info, then they might use it to impersonate you or sell this data to other scammers.

Got 2 texts from this number saying my offer is being shipped from Costco.  It's a verified scam after looking into it

I get these bogus scam texts frequently. January 2023. February 2023 and now March 2023. It looks to be a legitimate Costco number and it looks to be a legitimate tracking number, but I’ve never ordered anything to be delivered from Costco. And the place it is supposed to be delivering it to is never to me.

Same as most everyone else--received a text that my Costco order is on the way via UPS, but I didn't order anything. HOWEVER, I independently confirmed with UPS that a package from Costco was indeed scheduled for delivery! (I have a MyUPS account) Costco confirms that I don't have any active orders. Someone is playing the long con game....

Costco was letting me know my Costco shipment was on its way. I don't know if this was good or not have my phone for the order and then this was the phone with the link in there. I didn't click the link because I already had a call from Costco on it and I knew delivery date and time. But I got suspicious when the number texted me again the next day after my delivery was already completed I'm marking it as spam in my phone book or will call Costco again on the phone numer listed on order to report it and to make sure they know about it

I received a text this morning saying my delivery is coming on September 7th.. "Oil of Olay" face cream!

Called me at 10:33 PM yesterday
What legitimate business does that? Phone was muted, I was in bed. Called again this morning. I didn't pick up. No message either time.

This is actually not a scam, I signed up for tracking updates and I get notices all the time from this # telling me my items status and delivery date. Got 1 this a.m. for an item I am expecting today. What I like best is that when I use them to send a gift both myself and the recipient can get a text letting them know the item arrived so I can check in and make sure it was received. 844-421-1229 really is Costco. My texts are full of messages from them this holiday season
