Caller ID says "Police Department"- answered and they hung up right away.

Get constant call starting with Spam?800 service than a number. this one is the latest. But there are many more with different numbers, that also start with SPAM?...I don't know who they are or what they want. Answered once; got a hang up

Your phone service provider is placing the "Spam?" on your Caller ID display, to inform your that the call is suspect.  It is the local phone companies that provide the name portion of the Caller ID display based on what was passed to them as the calling number (which may or may not have been spoofed).  They have probably had numerous complaints about this number and this is how they can give the receiving party a heads up about the call since the laws and regulations they operate under require them to complete each call.  They cannot stop the call, but they can tell you that it is suspect.

Got the same message. Says Police Department.

It's a scam it comes up police department,  the real police department doesn't come up as that

Caller ID shows up as "PoliceDepartmen" but it's not the number of the local police department here.  Did not answer.
