It was on my voicemail. I knew by the monotone voice that it was a scam. Just checking.

Called stating someone ordered an IPhone 11 on my account. Scam because everything is online and it didn’t show in my order.

Just got off the phone with the REAL Cox Communications. This is NOT their number.

Whoever this is called twice and then switched to unknown.

I agree with you. They make an arrangement to lower your bill because your service isn't working then turn around and charge you the very amount they took off your bill. I'm looking to find a different company. I've never had a problem like I do with them.

Caller ID showed the phone number without hyphens.  Identified as Vietnam.  I let it go to voice mail but they did not leave a message.

Called and  left no message once answering machine connected. More than likely a robocall scam..

This number showed up in my reminders. They also were able to set the reminder to come up for a given location, my home. This was clever because if they had set a time and day, then it would only work once, They set it by location so that it would keep coming up whenever I got home. How they were able to hack into my phone, Apple iPhone, and set this reminder really scares me. What else are they able to do on my phone??

It is Cox, yes sometimes numbers are spoofed but this is a legitimate number.

This number calls saying they are Cox Communications and they need to speak in regards to your account status.  (Which I was puzzled as I do not owe them anything!). I played along. First they said that the number wasn’t coming up in their system- I said well you called me!  Then they asked for my social and bank information ! This is fraud !  Not really Cox they are faking whom they are!

It starts automatically once the next bill cuts. It doesn't matter if the payment overlaps, the computer starts calling.

THIS IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Do not call them back.  Called real Cox customer service last week to confirm that this was not them.

CID read as: "800 SERVICE, 1-844-472-8791" ROBO/Electronic call: went something like this:
    "This is XXXXXX XXXXXX calling with an important message for: xxxxxxxx xxx xxxxxx-xxx ; If this is home of, xxxxxxxx xxx xxxxxx-xxx, please press 1.( I stupidly pressed 1). If this is: xxxxxxxx xxx xxxxxx-xxx, please confirm by pressing 1...." <-THIS IS WHERE I BECAME SUSPICIOUS & JUST HUNG UP and called service provider directly. C/S said "no notes" in account...felt it was a scam call as I suspected.

Advice: Call your provider directly...don't mess with strange calls.

It's not cox bro... It's scammers fishing for data. Yes, you really did talk to Cox, but via 3-way call and someone just listened to your entire conversation and recorded all your entries. Pin, address, last 4 of your social, etc...

Yes, this number is used by Cox for overdue payment notifications.

The use of a synthesized voice does not make the call a scam. Cox uses this number for legitimate reminders of overdue bill payments and pending service interruptions due to same. Cox clearly identifies themselves; if you received a call from this number that does not state upfront it is from Cox, perhaps a scammer is spoofing the number.
