they called again but used a different number and some other bimbo called instead of the one i was talkng to..
telling me i had a payment arrangement.. what do i do?  just ignore and dont call back?

OK let us go through this one more time.  Did you go to the CFPB site and read all the information there on what to do when a debt collector calls you?  Did they send you the letter withing 5 days of your first conversation?  Why do you keep calling them or answering their calls.  Until they send that letter, nothing they say matters.  We can only do so much, you need to follow the advice that was given to you and to learn what you need to know.  You can also call your State Attorney General and they can help you with some specific advice for your state.  All that is for free.
Now if you want to do all that and if you still have a question, then fine, but other than that I see no reason to keep telling you the same things over and over.

Savannah Brown from "Stark Recovery" called from 844-227-3661, kept telling me it was urgent and wanted me to provide information on my sister and provide give them a phone number to call. I asked what it was regarding and all she would say is that it was urgent and she couldn't provide me with any information. She called 3 times and kept saying how urgent it was and said it could be resolved if I gave them my sister's information immediately. Definitely a scam, do not give your info out to this lady. It sounded like a collection call, even though she wouldn't tell me any information about it.

I applied for them and they hired me. After 3 training days I realized the are running a scam company. I don't want any parts of it

Got a call from a supposed debt collector agency, "stark" and she said I owed money from a 2012 payday loan. This was ridiculous. She then rattled off my ssn, old address, and employer stating I had until 5pm to pay them or it would go to legal. It was already 5:18 pm and when I said that she stumbled. She then stated I needed to pay $400 or it would go up to $2800 and be taken to court. When I asked her to send me paperwork stating all of this, she got upset and stated "they already sent it to your old address multiple times". I asked who "they" were and she said the loan company I borrowed the $400 from. I did not borrow $400 so I asked her what the loan company name was and she said "Alliance". All of this was frustrating and I told her to send me something in the mail and that I would not do this over the phone and hung up. I am really nervous though as they do have my SSN.

They called me too asking for someone I've never heard of. I asked what this call was regarding and as soon as the man realized I was the opposite sex of whom they were looking for, he hung up. I called back immediately, asked the woman who answered why they just called. Without saying another word or answering my questions, she asked " are you (the person's name)?" . I told her no and she immediately hung up without another word. I called back again, a little teed off this time, and finally someone told me this was Stark Recovery, located in California. I told them if they called again I'd call the FBI and FTC. They supposedly removed me from their list (3rd time I've heard that), but I reported them anyway.

These are NOT regular collections agents. These people are what happen when you mix collections with Nigerian scammers. They are not to be trusted, even if they have your SSN, don't send them money.

Check your credit report with the 3 bureaus, and if you find what they claim to be true, pay the original creditor and tell the scumbags not to call anymore. If you find they are lying, well, good luck. Find an attorney to take them on and there's probably a class-action lawsuit somewhere in here.

I received a call from an 844 number around 3 pm claiming to be a legal department saying I had defaulted on a payday loan from Onpoint. They knew and told me my SSN, asking if I had knowing defaulted my loan. I tried to explain that I never got a loan from Onpoint, and the man Aaron kept talking over me. So my husband took over the call and the man claimed to be from the IRS and knew where I used to work. After my husband asked for proof of the man's identity, the man became even more hostile. So my husband hung up on him. I proceeded to call Onpoint which had no idea what I was talking about, So I called the 844 number back and got a Savannah Brown. She was rude and gave me my information again. She told me to hold my questions until after she had explained. She told me I had a delinquent account with my college, I either go to court for $2000 dollars or pay a settlement of $700 today.

Total debt scamming operation.

I received a call today around 10 am EST. Missed the call listened to the voicemail called them back gave them the number they referenced in the voice mail spoke to a lady who was VERY rude. She literally laughed at me and said that i took out a payday loan in 2011 in South Dakota (A place I've never lived nor been to) then read me out my SSN and my bank account info from last year. She told me i could either pay them 987$ right then on the phone or they were going to take me to court. I had until 5 PM EST to come up with the money or else, then hung up in my face. So i called back, told them that i work for SAIC and am fully aware of my rights and the laws when it comes to debt collection and all that. Told them i knew they were a scam company and that guy hung up on me once i said i knew it was a scam. Called back a third time spoke to a lady who was actually some what nice she tried to run the same game by me however i broke it down a little more for her and told her that i looked up the address they gave me and even contacted the people who manage the building and they have never heard of their company, also that i looked every other place possible i could think of and found nothing but some info about this scam and the FBI investigating things just like this. She didn't have anything to say at all, and at the end of the call just said ok you have a nice day sir and hung up.

I made a payday loan but I did not

I received a call from Renee Robbins telling me I had a payday loan in November 3,11 and that I defaulted on the loan I explained I never had a payday loan for 350.00 and know they are demanding 730.00..or they were going to take legal action. Funny thing is they state they tried to collect but the bank wouldn't clear the check...which was a lie if that were the case I have overdraft ...I hope they are a scam because I'm not giving them a penny they have contacte my x husband of over 20 years I don't know why
